Susie’s Top 25 Picks: All On Sale!
One of my favorite things to do is help you all select the very best items for the upcoming season. And right now, many of them are on sale, thanks to Friends & Family Sales. These sales can be a little overwhelming (and exciting) because, well … we all love a good deal. So, check your closets and see what you need — then get ready to have some fun!
Why are the F & F Sales such a big deal? Because they feature brand new spring merchandise, on sale, just as the season is starting. So, now is the time to buy all the main pieces for your spring wardrobe. Most of these sales end soon, so don’t wait!
Today’s post has my Top 25 picks, all perfect for spring, that are worth sharing with you 🙂 I choose what I feature here on the blog very carefully. And, I always follow my authenticity promise: I own these pieces or have tried them on and approve, I’ve gotten the inside scoop from colleagues and friends in the industry, or they’re on my list and I want to try them based on brand knowledge and experience. Take a look at my picks below, and get ready for spring! 🌸
F & F sales still going: Neiman Marcus (extended til 3/25), Saks, Paige (new!), Vince, rag & bone, Bloomingdale’s, J.Crew (extended til 3/26), Cinq à Sept
My Denim Faves
Left: Holly jacket | Rag & Bone Peyton | Middle: Linen blazer | Mother Hustler | Right: Frame top | Frame Le High Straight
#1 – Frame Le High Straight: If you’re looking for a classic slim leg jean, the Frame le High Straight leg style is a great option! It’s more of a mid-rise and it looks good on almost everyone! This style of jean works with all your shoes – from sneakers to sandals to heels.
#2 – Rag & Bone Peyton: Hands down, these are one of my top picks for jeans. I love the wash. They’re slightly loose but not overwhelmingly so, and they just look cool. The Monterrroso wash is the specific wash I like, and I sized down to a 26. If you like a cropped version, look at this pair. I recommend getting your usual size. #3 – Paige Laurel Canyon: This is another super flattering, long length denim. I’ve been wearing this white version lately, and it goes with absolutley everything. I just noticed yesterday that Paige has joined in the F&F fun. Check out these other washes as well — they’re all good. #4 – Frame Le Slim Palazzo: This is a newer style, and it’s one of their best selling fits. It feels modern and new, and I highly recommend picking up a pair. If you’re under 5’4″, be sure and check out their Le Pixie version which is for petites. #5 – Mother denim: You all know how much I love Mother Denim, and here are the best-selling styles to try: the Insider, the Hustler or the Weekender. You can’t go wrong with any of them!
My Best Picks: Tops
Left: ATM t-shirt | Paige Anessa | Middle: Frame white top | Spanx pants | Right: Frame top | CoH jeans #6 – Frame Gillian blouse: This pretty blouse is worth every penny, and now that it’s on sale, I’d highly recommend grabbing one! I prefer the non-shiny one in either black or soft white. It’s so pretty, and the feminine puff sleeve is a nice detail.
#7 – ATM Schoolboy: This best-selling t-shirt in black and white rarely goes on sale. It’s hands down the most worn top in my closet, and if you’re looking for a t-shirt refresh, start here. It’s arm flattering, slim but not relaxed, and it’s just a great wardrobe staple that I’ve recommended for years!
#8 – Vince silk blouse: This blouse is really pretty, and you can wear it most seasons. The gathered back detail is nice, and the sleeves hit just right. Choose any one of the three colors available, and you’ll be good to go.
#9 – Alice & Olivia blouse: This isn’t a wardrobe staple by any means, but it sure is pretty! Initially, when I saw it in the dressing room, I thought no thank you …. until I put it on. If you’re looking for something fun, this is it. Wear it with linen trousers (like these) or your favorite jeans, along with a strappy sandal.
#10 – Frame Popover top: I now have this top in three colors, which I never do!! It’s comfortable, the sleeve hits perfectly, and just the other night I wore it under this Theory jacket. Right now, the striped one is on sale, along with this new pretty blue color.
The Best Dresses
Left: Vince side ruched dress | Middle: Rails dress | Right: ALC Renzo
#11 – ALC Renzo dress: I’ve talked about this dress non-stop for the last year. It’s pretty much my answer for almost every event, which makes it one of my top picks! If you need something dressier, try it in black. And, if you’re going to a wedding or another special event, try it in a pretty color besides black. It’s a flattering dress on almost everyone!
#12 – Vince side ruched dress: If you’re looking for a simple black dress that’s flattering and versatile, then give this one a try. Try it with a denim jacket, leather jacket, blazer, the list goes on. I stayed with my usual size XS.#13 – J.Crew dresses: Right now, J.Crew is having their annual spring event, and so many things are on sale — including dresses! Several that I’ve personally tried and love include this stretch twill shirtdress, this slip dress and this linen style. All so good, and perfect for warmer weather days.
#14 – Paige midi style dress: Just yesterday, I saw someone wearing this dress with a cropped denim jacket over it, and it looked super stylish and comfortable. Paige always makes the best dresses, see more here — all on F&F sale right now.
#15 – Frame knit dresses: These dresses always sell out. They’re casual, but you can dress them up or down depending on which shoe you choose. Look at this faux wrap style in navy, this black side tie style and this longer midi style.
Jackets and Third Pieces
Left: Tweed Slade blazer | Middle: Frame denim jacket | Right: Vince bomber jacket
#16 – Theory bomber jacket: I picked up this jacket in Seattle the other day, and promptly wore it two days in a row. Always a good sign, and it’s currently with me while I’m in LA! It’s cool, comfortable and you will wear it with many things almost all year long. (I sized up to a small.)
#17 – Vince bomber jacket: Apparently, I’m loving bomber jackets right now! This is another one that’s versatile and cool-looking. You can wear it with the Vince dress I mentioned above, or with your favorite flare jeans. I even wore mine with Lulu leggings and Sambas and felt pretty stylish 😉#18 – Rag & Bone Slade blazer: This is one of the best jackets available, and I hardly ever see it go on sale. If you’re looking for a black one, the wool version is hands down the best (they’re all available online). I love the tweed version I’m wearing above, and if you like camel, this Ponte fabric one is a good option. They’re all super comfortable and really versatile, so they’re worth the investment!
#19 – Frame Denim jacket: This is one of my favorite denim jackets, and I like how it’s a little cropped and distressed. Just yesterday while in LA people watching, I spotted three women wearing denim jackets similar to this over dresses. So easy and chic!
#20 – Theory flowy trench: I’ve talked about this piece many times, and it’s one of my all time favorite jackets. Think of it more like part of our outfit rather than a coat. Just the other day, a good friend was looking for something to wear over a dress. After giving it some thought, I decided this would be perfect so I told her about it. She loved the look! Don’t wait on this one — either black or ivory is fantastic.
Shoes & Accessories: best picks
#21 – J.Crew Neutral sandal: I wasn’t sure about this sandal at first, but it’s ending up to be so good! The block heel makes it feel a little more casual. So, if you like a little height but want to feel not so dressed up, this is a great option. I prefer the tan color because it makes a great neutral. This is one of my favorite shoe picks.#22 – Vince Pia sandal: I purchased these a while back and wore them non stop. They’re comfortable and really versatile. This is a great transition shoe when it’s not quite sandal season, but you’re ready to switch it up from boots.
#23 – Gucci sunglasses: These glam sunglasses are an absolute favorite, and I can’t think of a better way to complete your outfit than with a cool pair of sunnies! #24 – Michele watch: I’ve had my Michele watch for over ten years and it’s just so pretty! Sometimes I don’t even look at the time, but it feels like a nice piece of jewelry. I don’t see this watch on sale very often, so in case you’re looking for a splurge, this is a good one! #25 – BtB straw tote: This well-priced brand is a favorite, and this cute bag caught my eye! Check out the others here. All perfect for spring and summer.
