I love this fashion journey so much! It has been the highlight of my career to have this fun little blog. On a daily basis, you’ll find me savoring my morning coffee while scouring all my favorite websites to see what’s new in the world of fashion. There’s always something interesting to discover, and when I make a great find I promise to write about it here so you’ll always be in the know!
Just yesterday, while perusing the Nordstrom website, I spotted a brand new collection that’s really good and placed an order right away. Read on to see what’s new at Nordstrom, what got replenished (due to a sell out) and the current denim that just arrived. Also, I thought I’d make a proper introduction since we’ve gotten many new subscribers lately. A little about myself … then onto some great new-season finds!
A little about me 🤍
I’m Susie, and I’ve been a retail girl since high school, working at Nordstrom in various roles including a decade-long stint as a buyer and another decade as a personal stylist. I have the same questions as all of you: does my bra fit properly, should I use Vitamin C serum, am I too old to wear that, can I wear ripped jeans … the list goes ON AND ON! In my opinion, it’s my duty to share my experiences with you, as well as those of thousands of women I’ve had intimate conversations with in the dressing room over the years.
I have a passion for the business of fashion, and for helping women get dressed every day. I’ve also had many interesting meetings with the creators and founders of worldwide brands, and they’ve given me an inside perspective that I LOVE sharing with you through this blog.
When I started my website, it was initially to show street style inspiration so we could all get ideas on how to style cool pieces. But, it has evolved into much more than that. Now it’s a place where I share the latest trends, the most stylish looks, and too-good-to-miss items that are bound to sell out.

Yesterday while on the Nordstrom website, I noticed that a new Cinq à Sept collection just arrived. This is pretty typical, except this time I spotted more great items than usual! I quickly placed an order on this faux leather jacket, this dress, and this stripe top, and below are some other things I found for you.

This past month, Mother launched their new petite denim collection, and I’ve got the scoop! Five of their best-selling styles are now available in petite sizing. Talk about a game changer! As a former Nordstrom petite buyer, I can attest this is perfect for anyone 5’4″ and under. The rise is adjusted, length is a little shorter, and the knee placement is where it should be: at your knee. What if you’re not petite? Not to worry, every style is available in regular sizes. I also spotted brand new styles that just arrived. See below.

The other day, I asked my Instagram friends to give me the scoop on a favorite 2023 purchase from So Susie. WOW was I surprised! We received over 300 messages, and it was so fun tallying up what the hot items were. Here they are in no particular order: Veronica Beard Miller Dickey jacket, Rag & Bone Slade blazer, Lil Mother denim and the Frame Gillian blouse. Stay tuned Sunday when I share it all!

I discovered the Vuori jogger long before the pandemic, and for a while it was a top seller on So Susie. Since then, many other brands have surfaced, but yesterday on my Nordstrom visit, I got the inside scoop. It’s very nice (and helpful) to have long time Nordstrom friends (we’re talking 25+ years) who always tell me what’s hot and what’s selling! I happened to notice VERY FULL Vuori jogger racks and I was dying to know: are they selling? The answer: yes, really well! Vuori is a top brand at Nordstrom, and their jogger was the best-selling item this Christmas — again. Don’t wait on this one, check them out here.
Lingerie favorites
Now is the time of year to clean out your lingerie drawer. I just did my own, and trust me, it feels so good! Remove any bras, shapewear and panties that you’re no longer wearing, or that are stretched out or just plain dingy. Replace with these styles below. Everyone loves them and they belong in your drawer!
