7 Vacation Outfits Everyone Will Be Wearing In 2025!
The minute January rolls around, I start dreaming about sunshine, longer days, and of course, vacations! Since I live in the PNW, the winters around here are a little … dreary (an understatement). So, this time of year, a little dose of sunshine is desperately needed ☀️ This week, we’re taking a family vacation to Mexico, which is an easy four hour plane ride from Portland. Landing in a sunny tropical paradise when you left gloomy rain is so dreamy!
We’re staying at Las Ventanas al Paraiso, a beautiful resort in Cabo. The plan is to sip cocktails by the pool, play a little pickleball, eat at some favorite restaurants, read, and catch up on sleep, which is my idea of perfection. Check out my Travel Section, where you can compare Las Ventanas to the One&Only Palmilla, our other favorite Cabo resort.
Since many of you have upcoming sunny vacations planned, I’m sharing 7 vacation outfits everyone will be wearing in 2025. I’ve been scouring all our favorite websites, and have found many new things — everything from vacation dresses and fun new swimwear to sandals and coverups … and much more. This is the time of year when resortwear arrives in stores, and it’s a great time to grab something that catches your eye. Keep reading to see what I found for you, and happy vacation planning!
P.S. If you’re new around here and want to stay up to date on new arrivals and all things stylish, then subscribe to my blog and never miss a post! #1 Sunny Vacation Dresses
Left: Farm Rio dress | Sandals | Clutch | Right: Cara Cara dress | Diamond layer necklace
This time of year, vacation dresses are arriving every day, and there are so many good ones! Farm Rio shines in the warmer months, and I just spotted this and this. Tuckernuck also has an amazing selection and this one is so cute. Cara Cara is another brand, check out this white eyelet one (it’s back after selling out last year) which also comes in a longer version and this pretty polka dot one.
#2 Sandals, of course
#3 Cover Ups You’ll Love
Left: White eyelet dress | Loewe tote | Sandals | Right: LSpace cover up | YSL tote | Sandals
Cover ups are a must, and the J.Crew one is a favorite I’ve worn for years (pictured below). For something a little different, try a matching set. I love this new pink floral shirt and matching short by Lspace and check out this leopard shirt and matching short – both so cute and I brought to Mexico. If you want to get a two-for-one to save on packing space, I unbutton my favorite Frank & Eileen Mary dress and wear as a cover up too!
#4 Sea-inspired Jewelry
You’ll look a little extra by adding jewelry to your vacation outfits, and I love this shell necklace, this bracelet and these earrings which I just purchased! See below for more favorites:
#5 Stylish Swimsuits

I can’t say enough good things about this fleece jacket — it’s comfortable and perfect for travel. And, I always bring a simple white tee, and these days I’m loving this one by Frame. When flights are on the shorter side, I always wear jeans (it adds an extra pair to the rotation). The Rag & Bone Miramar pant is perfect for traveling. It looks like denim, but it’s really a sweatpant that works nicely with sandals and sneakers. I sized down two whole sizes for reference.
I recommend this scarf all the time, and after 4 years of taking it on almost every vacation, I can honestly say it’s the best scarf I’ve ever owned! Give it a try if you haven’t already.
