36 Hours in NYC: Here’s What To Pack
This past week, my daughter Em and I took a quick trip to NYC. It was super fun, and Em was giddy with excitement to experience New York during Christmas time. Right away, she started planning outfits on style boards. Everything from travel day to shopping to nights out. I must say, I enjoyed getting dressed up more than usual!
But here’s the real reason why the trip came together so quickly. I mentioned the other day on Instagram about my hair loss journey, and it was Em who encouraged me to speak up. For whatever reason, it’s not easy to talk about hair loss on social media! Anyway, I’ve been struggling with this for over five years… Basically, every single day I wake up and look at my hair part 😔 So, when my hair stylist suggested a year ago that I consider a topper, I finally decided it’s time. He recommended Shani Wigs in Brooklyn, and I decided to go for a consult. Since many of you are experiencing similar issues, I’ll be writing a blog post sharing ideas from all of you. And, I’ll include all the details on what its like to wear a hair topper.

These Tik Tok viral pants are so good, and you’ll want them in every color – mark my words! I tried this one, which is a little slimmer than the wide leg one and Sophie – both are best-sellers and great if you’re taller than 5’2″. While these Prada loafers are so cute, and Em wanted me to splurge, I just couldn’t and wore my favorite GG Ballstar sneakers instead. We both brought our Beis weekenders – Em has this light color and I have the mini – we take them on every trip!

We shopped in Soho during the day, and quickly did an outfit change for dinner at La Mercerie — it was so good!

Really love this fur jacket, and while I didn’t bring it on the trip, I did decide to purchase it. Em wore her fur Zara fur coat on our shopping day, with these AGOLDE jeans and Sambaes.
Em is obsessed with this YSL bag and Celine sunnies — but for now they remain on her wish list!
