10 Days in London: Here’s What to Pack ✈️

I’m off to London, and have outfits for exactly 10 days! Since both my parents are British, I’ve traveled to the UK many times throughout my life. This trip feels extra special since it’s very much a reminder of my sweet dad. Two years ago at this time, my dad got sick. And, within four weeks of the onset of his illness, he came to live with me while on hospice. I’m most grateful for the time we had together, and I miss him every day. But being in London does remind me of some good times with him, and I’m always happy to be here!

Today’s post has style boards that will help you pack for 10 days in London (or for several different types of events when traveling). Preparing for a trip like this can be tricky since the weather is cooler, and winter clothing takes up a lot more room than summer clothing. I’ll also be hotel hopping a bit, from the Covent Garden Hotel to Number Sixteen in Kensington to Claridge’s in Mayfair. Then, it’s off to Kent to spend some time with family. For packing inspo, I selected pieces from some the style boards below. I hope you find them helpful. Happy travels!

Full disclosure: I’m not a packing expert, and there are some things that probably could have stayed behind. But, that’s what happens when you pack in a hurry, and don’t take the time to think through every outfit! I’m just like many of you — figuring it out as I go 😉

A Few of My Favorite Things

Years ago, on my very first website called “The Susie Wright Project,” there was a “My Favorites” section. (I really loved this website, but it needed to change once I started So Susie in 2018.) Above are some photos from that section that will always remind me of England, and I wanted to share them with you!

On long airplane trips, I usually wear leggings or joggers, but this time, I decided on a matching lululemon set (see the above board). It was really comfortable — highly recommend. Also, since I’m always cold, I layered up with this favorite lululemon shirt, a trench coat and this scarf. These warmer pieces also work nicely for chilly nights in London!
