7 dresses that keep selling out! 🌸

I get lots of DM’s every day (which I absolutely love 😊), and the single most often asked question is “what do I wear to xxx event?” Just this week, questions included a formal work event, a wedding, a birthday celebration, a cocktail party, and on vacation … to name just a few. And, I always have the same answer: A DRESS!! This is the easiest way to pull a great outfit together, so having a few good dresses in your rotation is key. There are many different styles to choose from, and, in particular, there are 7 dresses that keep selling out … because everyone loves them!

Today’s post is a major dress edit, and I’m sharing with you my favorite trends, as well as some brand new style board inspo. After all, what a convenient (and practical) way to get dressed — one easy piece and you’re done! Who doesn’t love that? Add jackets, stylish accessories, and different types of shoes to make literally dozens of outfits with just this one piece. I hope this post is helpful and helps you find a few dresses you love — just in time for the holidays! Have fun at all your events 🥂

P.S. Do you follow me on ShopLTK? I post there regularly, and you can find my page here. Often, it’s exclusive content that you won’t find on the blog. Once a week, I share favorites under $100, as well as the Top 10 sellers on So Susie. Also, if you’re new here, subscribe now and never miss a post. #1 Feather dresses

Left: Feathers dress | Sandals | Right: Black dress | Loeffler Randal velvet bag | Gold sandals | Perfume

Feathers are showing up on everything, and it’s a trend I absolutely love! The pink dress I’m wearing above is from the Tuckernuck party shop, and it also comes in a longer version. These both keep selling out, so grab one if you love it. I spotted this Sam Edelman dress today, and Mac Duggal makes several I think you’ll like.

#2 Vince dresses

Left: Vince dress | Sandals | Loeffler Randall bag | Right: J.Crew leather jacket | Vince dress | Vince boots, here and here | Bottega bag | Bracelet

Vince is favorite go-to brand when it comes to dresses, and right now there are some really good ones. Look at this green print one, and this gorgeous blue slipdress that has a coordinating cardigan. The navy dress I’m wearing above immediately sold out at Nordstrom, but I found it for you here. The Vince slipdress is another favorite, and this color is also brand new.

#3 Anthropologie dresses

Left: Somerset dress | Sandals | Loeffler Randall bag | Right: Red dress | Black dress | Black floral dress | Red floral dress | Gold sandal | Black sandal | Gold bracelet | Earrings | Gold bag | Black bag

Anthropologie is a store I check regularly both in person and online. I almost always find a dress or two to try. There are several dress choices, so I’m sharing four that recently caught my eye. One of their best-selling styles is the Somerset dress, available in any different versions, both short and long. Quite often you’ll find extended sizes, which is another reason I always look at Anthropologie. They have a good selection of petite sizes.

#4 ALC Renzo dresses

Left: Blue ALC dress | Bracelet | Leopard clutch | Sandals | Right: Metallic ALC dress | Feather bag | Cuff | Sandals

The ALC Renzo dress is an all-time favorite style. Some time ago, I helped a good friend with the dress above (in black) for the Kentucky Derby, and she looked amazing. And just recently, I helped my sister-in-law for her son’s wedding, and the lilac color was stunning! I find this dress to run true to size, or just a bit large. You run the risk of this one selling out before the holiday, so consider adding it to your dress collection! Wear the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra and this panty and you’ll feel beautiful (and look incredible) no matter where you’re going.

#5 Vacation dresses

Left: Rails cotton eyelet dress | Sandals | Bag, similar | Middle: Rhode dress | Slingback denim shoes | White bag | Right: TWP shirt dress | Sandals | Dior tote

Everyone needs a couple of casual, everyday dresses for vacation that are versatile and super easy to throw on. Just this week, I decided to squeeze in a trip to Mexico (before the holidays are in full swing), and now I’m pulling out my favorite dresses from last summer, including these three above. Also, below are four dresses that I wouldn’t mind owning myself — of course, I’ve heard good things about them!

#6 Cinq a Sept McKenna dress

Cinq a Sept McKenna dress, long version here | Sandals | YSL bag | Feather bag

This dress is a best-seller, and it’s a great choice for many different events. It’s stretchy, a little forgiving and runs true to size. The bell sleeves are a nice detail, and it’s available in a longer length as well. For reference, I’m wearing the size 4. I had the sleeves shortened, and added a little hook at the bust line to help the dress from showing too much cleavage 😉

#7 $125 dress

Left: Denim jacket | Norma Kamali dress | Sandals | Bag, similar | Right: Blazer | Dress | Similar sandals | Bag

When a dress keeps selling out over and over again, you know it’s a good one 😉 The Norma Kamali strapless dress is a favorite style for many. Everyone I know who has purchased it goes on and on about it! It packs well, and can be styled with flat sandals or sneakers. Throw on a denim jacket, a nicer blazer or a leather coat and you’re ready for any event. I sized up to a small because I wanted to be able to move in it 😂 I always wear these Spanx under it, along with this strapless bra. Don’t wait — this is a good one!

Don’t forget your undergarments!

It’s smart to have a few lingerie options on hand so you’ll be prepared for when you find the perfect dress. I can’t say enough about the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra — it’s a stylist favorite. Sometimes you need another option, and Nippies are surprisingly good! If you place them lower on your breast and then pull them up and stick the top part, you actually get a little lift (not like a regular bra, but workable, depending on your size and body shape). For shapewear options, I usually prefer these Spanx shorts or these Spanx lace panties — they are essentials at this point!
