Want to know this month’s best sellers? Read on!

A while back, I told a friend of mine (who is also a former Nordstrom Buyer) that writing this blog reminds me of when we were buyers! That was before all the conveniences of computerized reporting, so we would sit in our offices and count BY HAND the number of items sold that day. Believe it or not, the stores tore tickets when items were sold and sent them to the buying office. Often, I would be the last one on the entire floor … counting tickets. Sounds tedious, but it was SO much fun to see what was selling! It has always been a thrill for me 😉

Now, I’m doing a similar thing by sharing my picks, seeing what you buy and revealing the winners. And it’s still really fun! So .. want to know this month’s best sellers? Read on! What do I mean by “best sellers?” Well, these are the hottest and most popular items that are selling through the blog at the moment. Check out the list — there are a few surprises!

So Susie’s top sellers

Rails dress | Trench coat | Varley jacket | Anine Bing tee | Necklace | Slingbacks | Toteme boots | Bottega bag | Jetset jeans | Jeans

The board above incorporates some of the top sellers I’m covering below – but since I wanted the board to look a little extra, I added a few items. For example the Bottega bag and Valentino slingbacks are my personal favorites, but not necessarily yours 🙂 Keep reading below for the TOP 20 most-loved items for the month of September. There are some good ones!

Boots

#1 – Toteme Mid-heel boot: This was hands-down my favorite boot from last year, and I was excited to pull it out again this year. It will be my go-to boot for this fall and winter. This cool boot is available in suede, which is the one I have. It’s a little slim to get on, but once you do, it’s super stylish and the elongated toe box makes it a little cooler looking.

#2 – Pointy-toe boots: These boots have been a go-to staple for several years, and this month it was a toss up between the Rag & Bone boot or the Stuart Weitzman one. The heel height is perfect on both, and you’ll wear them all the time with dressier outfits or jeans.

Sweaters

#3 – Nordstrom cashmere/wool hoodie: This was one of Nordstrom’s best sellers, and I just noticed it’s about sold out. That’s ok, because I love this Nadaam one! The quality is amazing, and the colors are perfect. Same with this Bloomingdales one — it’s also great, I have one myself. Don’t wait, these are great layering pieces under blazers, jackets, vests and coats.

#4 – Cashmere lightweight sweaters: These Nordstrom sweaters are amazing, and while I’m typing this post, I have the pale gray one thrown over my shoulders. It kind of acts like a scarf sometimes, and other times it’s the perfect weight to layer under a coat.

#5 – Haven Well Within sweater and matching skirt: This camel set is beautiful, and I shared it in this Reels Video. Many of you loved it as well, and I noticed it’s still in stock. The quality is amazing, and the camel color is ideal for fall. Style this set with sneakers or a pair of boots.

#6 – COS Striped Sweater: Striped sweaters are still trending, and this one reminds me of the cool girl Toteme one … minus the higher price! This won’t last so don’t wait. Striped sweaters are easy to style, and they add a little interest to all your outfits.

Coats and jackets

#7 – Sandro-Paris trench: I shared this gorgeous trench coat on this Reels video, and I can’t believe how many people loved it! I picked it up last year, and the pleat detail in the back makes it very special. There aren’t many sizes left in the navy blue, but I found a few here, as well as a neutral tan color here. #8 – J.Crew Tweed Blazer: This pretty pink tweed jacket caught my eye the minute I walked into my local J.Crew store. It fits nicely, and I love the shorter length with flare jeans. Today, I noticed it’s now available in this pretty pale gray — so good! This will be one of their best sellers for sure.

#9 – Moncler Puffer Cardigan: I just pulled out this favorite jacket today, and it’s absolutely perfect as the weather is transitioning. It’s lightweight enough to tie around your waist if it gets a little warm. It’s also the best lightweight jacket for travel, and it looks great with a hoodie layered under it with your favorite denim and sneakers. There’s also this similar one with a hood.

Dresses

#10 – Rails Brown Slipdress: This dress is GORGEOUS, and I decided to order it myself. I actually plan on wearing it at the LTK Conference in Dallas this weekend since it’s going to be 100 degrees. I have no idea how to dress like it’s fall when the temperature is so high! Wish me luck 😉

#11 – Cinq a Sept McKenna dress: This is another amazing dress that looks good on almost everyone! It’s definitely one of their best sellers. Of course, I love the shorter length one, but if you prefer a longer dress, look at the midi version. I shared the red one in this Reels video, and it quickly sold out at Nordstrom, but I found it in stock here for you. I had the sleeves shortened a little since they run a little long.

#12 – ALC Renzo: You probably know how much I love this dress, and it’s currently on sale during the Friends & Family sale! It’s arm flattering and pretty much perfect for any upcoming event you might have.

Travel

#13 – Frame Jetset jean: This comfy travel jean is SO good, and due to its popularity, new washes keep being added. The new Noir Sheen one and the longer length faded denim are both on my radar. Click here for style inspo! What’s great about them is they’re super comfy. They’re a pull-on jean with no hardware, which makes them perfect for travel. For sizing reference, I have the size 1.

#14 – Frank & Eileen Travel Set: Where do I start? These sets are perfect for travel. Whether you wear them on the airplane or leisurely strolling around, these cotton staples are soft, stylish and super comfortable. There are several version available – I’ve tried the Carmel Travel Set and the Tokyo set. For reference, I wear the size XS.

#15 – Frank & Eileen Triple Fleece Peacoat: This knit jacket is another staple that everyone loves! I wore the light grey one on the trip to London this past summer (along with the Jetset Jean), and I felt stylish and comfortable. The color choices are so good, and I recommend either grey, black or the new green color. For reference, I wear the XS.

#16 – Varley everything:  My favorite cool-girl brand just dropped a new collection. and it looks so good! I’ve been wearing this blue quilted jacket everywhere, and this 1/2 zip and fleece jacket are perfect travel pieces. Check out this recent blog post and see how I styled it all.

Pants/jeans

#17 – Spanx Perfect Pant: If you’re looking for a slimming, perfect fitting pant, Spanx has you covered! I wrote about my favorite styles in this blog post and styled here. Check it out, there are lots of them! The Slim Straight pant, along with the longer flare style, are the ones everyone loves. I highly recommend them!

#18 – Frame Trouser: This trouser has been a favorite all last year, and now it got even better. Instead of slant pockets that sometimes pull, they’ve given the pant an update with zippers so the pockets stay shut. They’re incredibly flattering, can be worn year ’round and perfect for a night out or a business meeting. Recently my good friend wore them with this blazer for an evening event and she looked absolutely gorgeous!

#19 – Anthropologie denim: You’ll find many best sellers at Anthropologie, particularly in the denim category. I shared some favorite styles in this Reels video, and you can shop them all here. They also have a great selection of petite denim, and I couldn’t believe it when I spotted Lil Mother jeans — their newest petite jeans. If you’re 5’4″ and under (like I am), you’ll know how exciting this is! And, if you’re not, my favorite styles are available in regular sizes too. Check out Mother Dazzler, Insider and Hustler — they’re all best sellers.

#20 – Naghedi totes: I love these totes and was surprised to see a handful of people carrying them in New York City, especially the new smaller crossbody ones. I have the St. Barths medium and it’s the perfect size, and now I have my eye on this one.
