It’s here: your brand new fall capsule wardrobe!

It’s always helpful to have endless outfit combinations at your fingertips … that’s why I love creating capsule wardrobes. After all, a solid wardrobe foundation makes getting dressed easy and effortless! Your wardrobe should be comprised of elevated, versatile, well-fitting pieces. And, when these pieces are combined, they make stylish outfits for all your upcoming events 🙂 This month, I was inspired rich chocolate brown and camel pieces combined with a brighter shade of blue and soft white. These colors always read timeless and sophisticated, and they look beautiful together.

One of my favorite things to do is find brand new pieces that make stylish outfits. I also like to mix it up a bit! For example, if you add a touch of white with your accessories, it gives your outfits some interest. For many years, this was my work in “Room 3” at Nordstrom, and it was truly a dream job. But, things changed! This little blog took off, and I was able to give “dressing room experiences” online to many people across the country. I’m still counting my blessings, since making outfits is my happy place 🤍

In order to create an amazing wardrobe, you have to start with the basics. Then, once you have the basics covered, keep things fresh and updated by adding new, colorful accessories. It’s always hard to narrow this down, but the pieces below are ones I recommend as we head into the fall season. You’ll wear them over and over again — trust me!

J.Crew denim jacket

Everyone needs a good denim jacket, and this one feels updated and cool. It’s perfect for every fall outfit!

J.Crew brown plaid jacket

I adore this brown plaid jacket. It was the first thing that caught my eye on a recent visit to J.Crew. It’s on trend, versatile, and has a great color combo!

Vince Ruana

This Vince Ruana wrap is a classic piece to own. There are many ways to style it, and it always makes your outfits look elevated.

Faux leather blazer

Faux leather is absolutely perfect for fall. A slightly oversized blazer, like this one, is one of the first things I’d add. It’s super stylish and goes with everything!

I just received this Varley quilted jacket in the light blue color, and I’ve already worn it several times. It’s lightweight but still warm. This Varley is “the” quilted jacket to own, and can be dressed up or down.
