The Pant Trend Everyone’s Wearing (And How to Style It)

Recently, a new pant has emerged, and it has become one of the most-talked about pant trends of the year! I’m talking about simple drawstring pants that are stylish, incredibly comfortable, and honestly … you’ll wonder how your wardrobe survived without them. A handful of months ago, I decided to try this drawstring, loose, flowy style, and I was instantly hooked. Not only have they given my everyday outfits a little refresh (goodbye legging & joggers), but they’ve also been my go-to travel pant for every single trip lately … from NYC to London to Palm Springs and everywhere in between. I’ve been telling everyone I know to run and buy them!

Today’s post is about the drawstring pants that truly fit everyone. I’m sharing all the ways you can style them for your next vacation, running errands, dinners out, and more. They’re really versatile, and the best part is they hardly wrinkle. Also, they come in three different lengths and fabrications, and they’re one of my highest recommendations right now. The Drawstring Pants I Highly Recommend

#1 – The “viral” Aritzia Lodge pants – These loose drawstring pants are seriously my favorite piece of the year! I’ve been wearing them everywhere: out to lunch with flip flops, on the plane with sneakers, and out to dinner with kitten heels and a jacket. My highest recommendation is the crepette ones. They wash up perfectly, and when you grab them out of the dryer, there’s not a wrinkle in sight. My two color favorites are the light birch and black. Once you fall in love with those, I’m positive you’ll want a second pair, and in that case I’d recommend the satin ones. If you’re going on vacation, the linen ones are perfect. For reference, I wear a size small short. Other options include regular sizes and tall — in other words they’re size inclusive … kudos to Aritzia!

#2 – J.Crew Soleil pant – This best-selling linen pant at J.Crew is another great option. I suggest sizing up — I prefer the regular size (even though I’m 5’1″) because I like them to be longer. Another solid option is the Cosmo pant in luster charmeuse — they’re beautiful.

#3 – Chan Luu tafetta pant – This is the pant that every stylish person is talking about, and if I was a few inches taller, I’d own every color! I had to include them for my tall gals out there.

#4 – La Ligne Colby pant – These relaxed wide leg pants have been at the top of my list for some time — and every time I go to order, they’re sold out. I love the clean front (no drawstring) for an elevated feel, and they work effortlessly with pretty much everything, any time of year.
