I just spent the past 7 days wandering around NYC. It was lovely — trend shopping, eating, drinking and taking in all the excitement New York City has to offer. Thankfully it brightened up over the weekend, but during the week it was cloudy and cool, and most of the time I felt kind of cold. My favorite black scarf that I talk about ALL the time would have solved everything, except I left it on the airplane by mistake. It’s probably the first time that scarf hasn’t come with me on a trip!

I popped into the J.Crew store in Soho, and I couldn’t believe how good it looked. My daughter Em and I both made a purchase within the first five minutes. This jacket that looks way more expensive than it is, and Em spotted this raffia clutch that’s super cute.

We all need a few comfy and stylish travel outfits, and I’ve been considering these two for an upcoming trip to LA. These jeans are really good, and they work with sneakers or a lower heel like these. The Goyard tote is a huge splurge, but it’s durable and another piece you’ll have for years to come.
