The hottest shoe trend everyone is wearing rn!

I love doing “blog research,” and every day my morning routine consists of sipping the yummiest coffee in bed while perusing all my favorite websites. Which ones, you ask? Who What Wear, Sheerluxe, Le Catch, Shopbop, and so many more! I love to see what’s new and trending, and get some street style inspo to share with you all. The other day, I was scouring on my iPad and noticed a new sneaker drop on the Shopbop website. I immediately starting finding new styles that caught my eye. It was a quick reminder that sneakers are still the hottest shoe trend everyone will be wearing throughout 2024!

Last year, I was lucky enough to spend time in both London and Paris, and … sneakers were everywhere. I was shopping in my favorite London department store, Selfridges, and I noticed one department that was buzzing with excitement: shoes!! The sneaker shop in the shoe gallery was crazy busy, with men and women of all ages trying on everything in sight. Side note: this was my third visit to Selfridges in the past year and a half, and every time I went, the sneaker department was PACKED! I’m happy to report that the sneaker trend is still going strong. My sources in New York say it’s the same there, no surprise.

So … which are the hottest brands?

New Balance, Adidas, Nike, Veja and Alexander McQueen. Interestingly, the Golden Goose shop in Selfridges, which was next door from all the excitement, was completely dead. Not one single person was there, except the bored salesperson. I’m not ditching my GGs any time soon, but I did make a mental note 🤔 My family and I ate at an “insta-famous” restaurant, and I noticed a group of really stylish women wearing polished blazers with denim — and Alexander McQueen sneakers. So, no matter how dressed up or down you are, sneakers are the shoe of the moment.

So, today’s post is about all the cool sneakers worth adding to your collection. I don’t usually say this, but I kind of think we can all have several pairs in our closets. And, they don’t have to be expensive; there are many reasonably priced options, and lots of different styles — everything from classic white to retro to designer favorites. Keep reading below to see the sneakers everyone is wearing, and of course, how to style them. The options are endless!

French girl chic and sustainable

Farm Rio dress | Denim jacket | Veja sneakers | Straw tote | Bracelet

Many people are sporting Vejas these days — both men and women. This French brand is affordable, and it’s also sustainable. In fact, I brought my V-10’s to Europe, and many times, they were my sneaker of choice. Other styles you might like include the new Volley style which is reminiscent of Adidas Sambas, as well as the ones below. Don’t wait on these, because the fun color (like this green) go quickly!

The hottest retro styles

Rag and Bone blazer | Button up shirt | White jeans | Rag & Bone sneakers | Earrings | Red bag

Old school sneakers are always in style, and I love this newer slim pair by rag & bone. Also like this super cute new retro style by Vince, available in several colors.  Check out some other fun options below!

Classic white sneakers

Crop trench | Mother white denim | Sneakers | Bracelet | Prada bag | Stripe Frame tee

It’s always a good idea to have a pair of simple, clean white sneakers in your closet. They work with everything and add a cool touch to your outfits. I have my eye on these by the hot brand On. If you’re looking for a sneaker under $100, this Sam Edelman is always a top seller.

Nike and New Balance faves

Trench coat | Mother jeans | Blue tote | Nike Daybreak sneakers | Earrings | Anine Bing hoodie

The New Balance table was where all the action was in Selfridges. Talk about the hottest brand right now, they are THE shoe to own! They can be a little hard to find, so grab them when you see them. Nike was a close second, and Em was surprised at the variety in the Dunks section — look at these.

Designer sneakers and the affordable versions

Blazer and matching pant | ATM t-shirt | Nylon bucket bag | Link bracelet | Alexander McQueen sneakers | Sunglasses

I do love a good designer sneaker, and between Alexander McQueen, ones by Prada, and this newest Chloe, you can’t go wrong! If you prefer an affordable version, Dolce Vita has the Chloe version here, and their Zina sneaker looks like a Golden Goose. Sam Edelman also has a few, and Steve Madden has this Alexander McQueen copy.
