The April Drop: 6 Pieces You Need Now!

This week, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I announced our April “N6 Drop” (a monthly drop of six of our favorite, best-selling items). We selected our favorite Mother jeans, a brand new denim jacket, and cute sandals that are well-priced and go with everything! Today’s post is about making good, solid everyday outfits for spring, and six pieces that will help you put them all together. Keep reading to see the pieces, and get tips on how to style them!

But first … if you’re new around here, I thought I’d share more about the monthly drops and how they came to be. My “Nordstrom 6” friends and I found each other during the early days of quarantine, and instantly bonded. We are all Nordstrom stylists (or former Nordstrom stylists) who started sharing weekly content with you. Our goal was to make shopping both fun and inspiring during that challenging time. Well, four years later, we’re still at it! And, between daily texts and FT calls, we plan our drops which we share at the beginning of every month. I hope you enjoy them!

The must-have N6 pieces for April

Nordstrom dresses

Right now, the Nordstrom collection looks really good, and there are many pieces I recommend. These include dresses like this one and this one, blazers with matching pants, and fun skirt like this one. The prices are affordable, and the styling is spot on! Add a great handbag and shoe, and you’ll be good to go.

Farm Rio

We love Farm Rio around here, and there are many great pieces right now. From dresses like this, and this, to several fun tops and sweaters. See below for my favorites!

Denim jackets

Denim jackets are always in style, and different lengths look best with different outfits. This new slightly oversized one by AG feels modern and cool. The shorter one below by Frame is another good one, and looks especially great with dresses.

White denim

This time of year, having a couple of pairs of crisp white jeans makes all your outfits come together. This season, I like wider leg styles like this one from Mother (also available in petites here), and this new Paige one. See below for more current favorites.

Caramel bags

If there’s one bag I think everyone should own, it’s a caramel-colored bag. I’ve written at length about how this color elevates almost every outfit! Read this post for more details. Here are some current styles that caught my eye.

Caramel shoes

The same goes for shoes! This YSL and Hermes sandals are the most worn shoes in my closet. The reason? They go with everything, and they always look sophisticated. See below for some new styles I found for you, including these Sam Edelmans that’s are well-priced and comfy.
