Spring Dresses for Every Occasion … All New!

Happy Spring everyone (and Happy Easter)! Hope you’re enjoying time with family and friends 🌸 I took a long walk this morning, and thought about how grateful I am for my life and my health — and, of course, for all of you. Thank you for being here  🤍

Dresses are definitely THE item of the season! They’re the easiest way to put outfits together, so having a few good ones in your rotation is key. Whether you’re going to a wedding, a birthday celebration, a cocktail party or a graduation, or even just a special occasion: dresses are the most stylish option at the moment. Lately, I’ve been getting many DMs a day, and the most asked question is “what do I wear to xxx event? My answer is always the same: A DRESS!

Today’s post is a major dress edit, and I’m sharing with you the best dresses you could wear for every occasion this spring. Since I have a handful of events coming up, I’ve been doing a lot of dress research in order to help you narrow down your choices. Daytime dresses — perfect for lunches or graduations

Having a daytime dress on hand will make it easy if you have any upcoming events! You’ll feel dressed up, but not too dressed up, and they work with lower heeled sandals or taller ones. Switch up your accessories depending on where you’re going! Here are a few other options below.

I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but this ALC dress works for so many events! Last summer, my sister-in-law wore it for in her son’s wedding, and awhile back, I wore the black one to a cocktail event. This is one of those dresses that works for different types of events. Recently I was chatting with Nordstrom6 friends, and we talked about how versatile this dress is. In fact, pretty much everyone who tries it on ends up going home with it. Trust me on this one, it’s a great choice. What to wear under? The Red Carpet Strapless Bra, or this new one, and these Spanx lace panties.

Farm Rio is a favorite brand that everyone loves, both here and in Europe. While in LA this past week, I noticed a new Farm Rio store is about to open on Melrose Avenue. Talks about fun and happy prints! And, they’re well-priced and offer many different styles to choose from. Just this morning I noticed this new one and quickly ordered it. While shopping at Nordstrom the other day, I got the inside scoop that these dresses are selling out … understandably. I love this longer style, and this red print recently sold out at Nordstrom but I found it here for you. See below for more favorites.

Navy blue dresses: an alternative to black

Navy blue dresses look a little softer than black, but they’re equally as sophisticated. Way back when, at my own wedding, my bridesmaids wore navy blue, and they looked so elegant! For example, the Veronica Beard I’m wearing above is a great option for daytime events, as well as for anything fancy. This Cinq a Sept dress also caught my eye, and it’s even more beautiful on. Everyday casual dresses

Casual dresses you can wear with flat sandals and straw totes are the perfect warm weather uniform. I know I’m wearing heels with the pink one above, but most of the time I’ll pick cute sandals. Consider wearing the Wacoal Body Base shorts under all your dresses — you’ll feel better, especially if the wind catches your dress! 😉
