As my mom mentioned, now is a great time to restock on some of your favorite beauty products or to try something new! I have been on a Sephora rampage in the last year and tested out products that have easily become my new go-to’s. Below is a mix of my makeup staples, haircare favorites, and new products I can’t live without.
SEPHORA SALE PICKS
Charlotte Tilbury powder | Patrick Ta Bronzer Set | Lip liner | Jo Malone perfume | Makeup brush | Magic Cream | Rare Beauty blush
Ever since I smelled the Jo Malone Peony Blush & Suede perfume years ago, it’s been my go-to perfume — it’s floral, light, and I get so many compliments whenever I wear it. Some of the new products I tried within the last year include this creme and powder blush set by Patrick Ta, along with this double sided blending brush. Unfortunately for me, I can’t live without this bronzer now 😂… it’s easily bendable and not too dark. Lastly, my holy grail is this Charlotte Tilbury magic cream that I use as a primer. It makes my skin so smooth and it’s the perfect base underneath my makeup.
MY SHOPPING CART:
What I’m Trying: Haus Labs Blush | Hourglass Hydrating Foundation | Oribe Texture Spray | CT Potted Eyeshadow | Luminous Blush
What I’m restocking: Nars Concealer | First Aid Beauty Moisturizer | Kosas Eyebrow Pencil
SKINCARE:
A long time ago, I took this Dermalogica Microfoliant from my mom (sorry mom 😇) and I have been OBSESSED ever since. It’s almost like a beaded powder that you put in your hand, mix with a little bit of water to create a paste, and apply it to your face… literally the softest my skin has ever felt! Another all time favorite, also stolen from my mom, is this First Aid Beauty Hydration Cream and the reviews speak for itself. Lastly, now is a good time to splurge on items you’ve been wanting that are pricey and never go on sale like this Dr. Dennis Gross red light mask.
HAIRCARE:
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized how important investing in good quality hair products is. I always ask for advice from my hair stylist, which products are worth it and which products actually work. I swear, every time I use the Kérastase leave in treatment, my hair feels so soft and hydrated… plus it has heat protectant! I also started using this Virtue shampoo and conditioner and saw that Kim Kardashian also uses this same product so it must be good 😉
FRAGRENCE:
Although it’s not technically a perfume I personally find that this Sol De Janeiro body spray smells similar to Rouge 540! I once got a sample of this Replica Beach Walk and I’ve been so tempted to purchase it ever since — It’s beachy and such a great summer scent. If you love Vanilla scented perfumes, I absolutely love this Tom Ford perfume and it’s highly rated.
HAIR TOOLS:
In my opinion, the Dyson Airwrap has still been a struggle to master. I find that when I use the curling barrels, my hair will get bouncy curls but hours later the curls have completely dropped and I am left with slight waves around my hair (even if I use products prior to help hold the curl). I also notice that my hair gets tangled much easier when I use the Dyson Airwrap. However, I do like the volume I get after using it and it does give a nice curl towards the end of my hair. Overall, I’m not convinced that it’s worth the money quite yet but if you have any tips please let me know! Aside from the Airwrap, I do absolutely love my Dyson blowdryer (Other color way here | Refurbished Dyson blowdryer here). Side note: Shark Beauty also offers a similar airwrap tool for less here.
Happy spring shopping! 🌷
