5 Fresh Things to Do With Your Wardrobe Right Now!

When it comes to creating a wardrobe that’s elegant and timeless, it starts with a combination of well-fitting essentials and trendy pieces that you add each season. Then, with everything you need right there in your closet, you’ll have extra confidence when getting dressed. Trust me on this one — it feels REALLY GOOD when your outfits come together easily!

Later today, I’m speaking at the Portland Golf Club … even though public speaking isn’t my thing (AT ALL). And, even though I’m quite nervous, I’m looking forward to sharing 5 fresh ideas that we can all do with our wardrobes right now.  Read on to see the items I’m bringing with me, and scroll to the very bottom to view what’s on my rolling rack 🙂 And, as always, thank you for following along!

P.S. To see some of the things I brought, click here to watch this rack video. I posted everything in my ShopLTK, which you can see here. And, if you haven’t downloaded the app, it’s a super easy way to follow all your favorite people and see what they post. Often, I post exclusive content – check out my page here.

#1 First, Update Your Denim

Denim is the single most important piece in our wardrobes, and getting the fit right is key to making sure all your outfits come together. I wrote a more extensive blog post which you can read here. See below for the top jeans I’m recommending this season – they’re modern and cool, and will level up your outfits — I promise!

#1 – Paige Anessa jeanslong length & ankle – If you are thinking about one jean to buy this season, the Paige Anessa would be my top pick. They’re soft and stretchy, they fit almost everyone, and there are many different options. Long lengths include this new twisted seam one, this medium wash, and this écru pair. For ankle lengths, Anthropologie has an impressive selection, and I like these and these – both are available in petite sizes

#2 – Mother Lemon Twist – I just got back from Aspen from a conference for creators. Several were wearing this new cool-girl jean. It’s available in écru (petites here), a light wash (petites here) and a nice medium blue

#3 – Mother HustlerLong length & Ankle – These are personal favorites that I’ve worn for years. Try this light wash one and this ankle length white one

#4 – Frame Le Slim Palazzo – This is the number one selling jean at Frame, and it’s available in several washes here and here

#5 – AGOLDE Ren – Another cool-girl jean, the AGOLDE Ren is a high-rise wide-leg silhouette that’s a little relaxed through the hips. It’s available in a long length and and ankle length

#6 – Frame Le Sleek – Sometimes we need a slim, straight leg jean, and the Le Sleek is an ankle length. It’s just a great basic jean, perfect for summer with sandals or sneakers. Consider this white pair and this middle wash

#2 Try This Easy Outfit Formula

Left: Denim jacket | Ecru top | Ecru jeans, petites here | Sandals | Earrings | Clutch | Right: Crop trench | Tank | White jeans | Sandals | Clutch | Earrings

This week I met Emily for dinner, and she announced she was trying the white/white combo that she’s heard her mama talk about for years! We both had a good laugh, and she looked great, pairing the white with a new tan jacket and simple Zara white flip flops. I swear by this formula. It’s super easy, and you’ll always have an outfit ready to go because you’ll always look stylish in white on white. Ecru/écru is another option that looks equally as sophisticated.  See below for some fun jacket options I shared in today’s presentation.

#4 Level Up with Trendy Accessories

Accessories are the key to great outfits, and remember they don’t need to be expensive! Here are some trends I’m recommending right now 🌸

#1 – Printed scarves are having a moment (again) and they look chic tied around your waist, in your hair, on a bag, or of course, around your neck. Try fun bandana prints like this or this,  silky ones like this pretty red one or this floral one, and a designer one like this La Double J one or this Longchamp one

#2 – Lace details are a pretty addition to your outfit. A few things that have caught my eye include this new CamiNYC dress, this new Reformation dot print skirt, and this Veronica Beard cami that will look stylish under any blazer. Find something you love and you’ll have it for years to come

#3 – Bezel jewelry is trending, and it’ll really never go out of style. Here’s a little secret: I’m working on a collection with Zoe Chicco that I’m so excited about, and all of you will be the first to know about it! In the mean time, a few luxury pieces that might interest you include this necklace, this ring and this necklace. For more affordable pieces, look at these earrings, this necklace and this ring

#4 – Fringe statement pieces are a stylish piece to add to your closet, like these clutch bags, this dress, and this Tuckernuck matching top & skirt. Also found this designer scarf. Find something you love and have fun with it!

#5 Have a Go-To Travel Outfit

Denim jacket | White jeans | Blue shell | Sandals | Earrings | Bag | Stripe sweater over shoulders

Many of us are traveling this summer, and whether you overpack (like I do!) or want to be practical and only take a carry-on, click here to see a few things I recommend trying. Pro-tip: pack by activity. That way you’re covered from everything like playing pickleball to shopping to laying by the pool to dinners out. When it comes to packing lightly, everyone is talking about the Sudoku packing method, so I decided to give it a try. It took a really long time to pick just the right items, but these all make many outfits. See them all here!

Thought I’d add some of my favorite travel items — love these and won’t go anywhere without them:

Rag & Bone Miramar – these track pants, this wide-leg pant, and this jacket

Aritzia Lodge Pants – The Lodge pants are another one of my favorites. Perfect for travel and every day. See more fabrics here

Travel gear – This makeup bag, this suitcase, this little speaker and weekender bag
