The January 2025 Drop: 6 Classic Pieces To Start the Year
Welcome to the brand new January 2025 N6 Drop! Every month, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I carefully select a monthly drop of six favorite, best-selling items that we think you’ll love. These pieces are versatile, well-priced, and super stylish. For January, we picked a stylish jean, an updated navy bomber jacket and the bag/shoe combo that works with pretty much everything! Keep reading to see the 6 classic pieces you need to start the year, as well as my honest reviews about each item. Of course, there are some styling ideas too!
But first … if you’re new around here, I thought I’d share more about the monthly drops and how they came to be. My “Nordstrom 6” friends and I found each other during the early days of quarantine and instantly bonded. We are all current or former Nordstrom stylists who started sharing weekly content with you back in 2020. Our goal was to make shopping both fun and inspiring during that challenging time. Well, four years later, we’re still at it! And, between daily texts and FaceTime calls, we plan our drops and share them at the beginning of every month. I hope you enjoy them!

The Must-Have Pieces for January 2025
1 – Nordstrom Brushed Bomber Jacket – Talk about a cool, well-priced bomber that’s super versatile and really soft! I found it to run a touch big, but still went with my usual size XS. The quality is great, and it’s also available in this pretty light gray color.
2 – Frank & Eileen button front shirt – This is a great button up, and the color combo is perfection. It’s a different fit than the ones I own, and I was surprised to find it runs small, so size up. 3 – Frame Le Slim Palazzo jeans – This best selling jean is really good, and the lighter wash is perfect as we head into the new year. It actually looks a little lighter than in the photo — check the Saks website for the true color.4 – Nordstrom chunky cotton blend sweater – We decided on this piece as a group. However, when it arrived, I knew right away it wasn’t going to be a keeper. It’s a little thick for my liking, and while I’m including it in this post, it’s not a piece I highly recommend. But, take a look for yourself, you might like it!
5 – Veronica Beard Dash bag – Now this is a great bag, and I highly recommend it. It’s available here in many different colors and sizes. There is a strap that’s included that converts it into a crossbody bag, making it super versatile. When it comes to color, it literally goes with everything!
6 – Veronica Beard suede pointy toe pump – A shoe and bag combo is one of the best things you can have in your wardrobe, and this caramel color is a favorite. Same with the bag. It gives a richness to black, navy, gray and every other color.

This time of year, try switching things up by adding a few navy pieces to your wardrobe. Recently, I picked up this wool/cashmere jacket, and I’ve already worn it several different ways. Some other current favorites include this Miller Dickey jacket, this Slade blazer, and this belted denim jacket. Find one you love, you’ll have it for years to come — and navy is a good alternative to black.

As I mentioned above, this best selling jean is amazing. It’s available in petites here, as well as many other washes here and here. It’s my personal go-to jean when I want to dress up, especially since I usually wear mine with a heel of some kind.
#3 Frank & Eileen Classic Button-up Shirts

Frank & Eileen makes some of the best button-ups, and while they’re a little more expensive, the quality is worth it. And, they last for a really long time! My favorite is the Eileen fit, which is gently oversized and comes in many different colors, including basic white, denim (my favorite) and triple fleece (so comfortable).
