What To Wear Now: 5 Trend Items That Make Stylish Winter Outfits

We all have a lot of clothes. I’ve seen it first hand after helping hundreds of women in their closets. Yet, the thing I hear over and over again is “I don’t have anything to wear.” I get it, I’ve been there too! But, what I’ve learned over the years is that the KEY to making workable outfits is having all the correct pieces. I consider these tips to be dressing room secrets that only stylists know.

Here’s the tip: make sure the items you purchase can be worn at least three ways! By choosing your investment pieces thoughtfully and carefully, you’ll end up with a forever wardrobe, and will always have something to wear. Back in my Nordstrom styling days, I encouraged my friends and clients to think in terms of outfits instead of pieces, and they always walked out happy.

Skinny pants are about to make a comeback, and I’m pretty excited about it! This Vince pant has been updated with a slightly higher rise, and I decided to re-introduce it back into my closet. It’s less like a legging and more like a slim black pant. It’s comfortable, versatile, and looks amazing when balanced out with something looser on top. See below for three different styling ideas!

I can’t think of a cooler piece to add this winter, and this one caught my eye. I haven’t tried anything from this brand, but I did read some really great reviews about this sustainable company that focuses on high quality basics. For now, I have one in my shopping bag and will let you know my opinion. Some other options include this one by Zara and this Toteme that inspired the trend from the beginning.

Frame Le Slim Palazzo jeans are number one selling jean at Frame for good reason – the fit is amazing!

Wider leg jeans are still trending as we head into 2025. Everyone is loving this new dark wash, and they give French girl vibes. I popped into my local Nordstrom store and noticed that they were almost sold out. I can see why … they’re slimming, leg lengthening, and will give all your outfits a little refresh.

This faux fur jacket feels like the real thing! The quality is amazing, and it’s a fun piece that you can wear dressed up or down

Em picked this out for me as part of our NYC outfits but it didn’t come on the trip. Now I like it and need to figure out how/when to wear it. I sized up to a small, and while the sleeves are a touch long, it’s perfect otherwise!
