I love helping my clients and friends select the very best items on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. After all, it can be a little overwhelming (and exciting) because, well … we all love a good deal. So, check your closets and see what you need — then get ready to have some fun!

Why is the Anniversary Sale a big deal? Because it’s brand new fall merchandise, on sale before the season even starts, and it gets marked back up in a few weeks. So, now is the time to buy the main pieces for your fall wardrobe!

The #1 strategy is to focus on those items that are most likely to sell out. Some customer favorites literally sell out on the first day, and sometimes they don’t get restocked. Today’s post is about the top 10 picks I think are worth grabbing before they’re gone. Don’t wait … buy them as soon as you can!

Denim is always a smart buy on the Anniversary Sale, and the good news is, this year the selection is REALLY GREAT! All the styles below are tried and true, and every year, the best styles sell out. My advice is to order several pairs, and decide which ones are best once you’ve tried them on. These are jeans you’ll wear all the time, so stock up and you’ll be really happy you did! Here are my favorite brands and fits for 2023.

A good coat is probably the single best investment you can make for your wardrobe. A classic wool coat is a piece you’ll have for years to come, so investing wisely is the key! #4 NSale: the best of shoes & boots

The boot selection on the Anniversary Sale looks AMAZING again this year — the best it has been in several years. I’m pretty picky when it comes to shoes, and believe in purchasing things like boots carefully, since the season is still a couple of months away. Some favorite boots include the Veronica Beard bootie, Marc Fisher and this one by Vince. I always recommend Stuart Weitzman, and this OTK boot is perfect — same with their basic black bootie.

Also trending: Knee boots! Look at this one by Sam Edelman and this one by Marc Fisher. If you’re looking for sandals, check out these best-selling L’Agence ones, these Veronica Beards and the super chic Cult Gaia ones. The sneaker assortment is also really good, LOVE this Rag & Bone and all the ON styles which are new this year! Not pictured that will also be GONE: Birkenstocks — here and here.

AllSaints is always a favorite brand, and every year, their Anniversary collection is worth a long look. Their leather jackets are some of the best on the market right now. They can be a little spendy though, so NOW is the time to buy one … but you gotta act quickly because they sell out every year! Their sweaters are also super cool and a little edgy, which makes them extra stylish with denim. Try this Ruana — it’s perfect for travel. I also like this sweater with the frayed edge — it adds interest to your denim and booties. See below for some other favorites!
