The one investment piece you need is on sale!

After many years navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, one thing I’ve learned is that purchasing a coat or a jacket (aka a “third piece”) is worth every penny. Why? Because a great coat or jacket completes every outfit! Based on my own experience, these are the investment pieces we all still love years later. Ironically, my first buying assignment with Nordstrom was in the coat and suit department, which might be where my love of coats comes from 🙂

This year on the Anniversary Sale, there are many excellent choices and the prices are incredible. My guidance to clients and friends has always been to pick up a few coats and jackets while they’re on sale. The prices are really good, and trust me, you’ll be happy you have them once the weather changes! Blazers

Having a cool, relaxed blazer that goes with all your denim is a wardrobe must! This Zella one was a new find yesterday, and both me and my girlfriend purchased it. The fabric is hard to describe, but it’s almost like an athletic stretchy material, and it’s super comfy. A couple of others I like include this “Love” blazer, this plaid one, and this Rag & Bone.

This is the best time of the year to pick up a coat, and the selection under $200 is incredible!

These cozy coats are so fun, and when the weather turns, you’ll be ready! And, the prices are incredible right now. What a great way to add a little “extra” to your coat collection. You might like the cream one above, and this camel one is also nice.

Puffers

Puffer coats are favorites, and every wardrobe needs one! This pink one is SO cute and only $39.99. A puffer is a good investment piece for winter; get it now for yourself or a gift. I love this new brown belted style, and the brand Save The Duck is another favorite.

Leather & faux leather coats

Faux leather looks amazing, and I always share finds with my friends and clients. Many people can’t tell the difference between faux leather and the real thing! It’s a really easy way to elevate your wardrobe because it always looks more expensive than it really is.
