Fall basics that always work + a new style board!

Fall basics that always work + A new style board!

It has been sunny in Portland lately, and for those of us living in the PNW, we us are savoring every second of it! In the meantime, my go-to fall basics have been on constant rotation, including this fave Madewell denim jacket. Now I have my eye on this washed black style (here too) thinking it will give my wardrobe a little update. Layering options include this ATM cashmere crew and this ATM cheetah print cami.

Other fall staples that will get you through the next couple of months include an easy camel coat or a lighter weight casual coat like this one. Take a look at this comfy ivory loungewear set, and at this new sweatshirt — they’re perfect for fall!

I don’t know about you, but I’m in major “home mode!” Today the new Ina Garten cookbook arrived, and I can hardly wait to try a few new recipes. I also purchased the new Mark D Sikes book “More Beautiful” which truly is beautiful! Get one for yourself, or as a gift for someone special.

This weekend we’ll be sprucing up a few things around the house starting with the front porch. I’ve recruited my son to do a little painting, we’ll see 😉  I think you might like this basket planter, it would look really good with a fall cabbage or even a boxwood planted in it. Check out this wreath and these bird candlesticks – great for decorating!

P.S. The green table is back in stock and is a total find! Read more about it here. It has completely transformed my home office!

Wacoal bras you’ll love!

ATM cashmere cardigan | Vuori Jogger | Wacoal limited edition Sport Bra

Getting “dressed up” these days means joggers, a soft tee and slippers … but we also need comfy bras to wear around the house (or if you happen to get on a Zoom call). This Wacoal Comfort Wire-Free bra is PERFECT for right now: comfy, soft, no wires — it’s my go-to while #wfh.

I love all Wacoal bras, and many of you do too. I wrote about them in this post and this one too. Though I love the Comfort Wire-Free, the Halo Lace Convertible bra might be my personal favorite. If you need a little lift without extra cup volume, I recommend the High Standards bra. And, this new, limited edition pink Sports Bra is in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Wacoal is donating $2 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for every bra purchased in October (you can read more about that here).

P.S.  These jogger pants are SO GOOD!  If you’re been following me for awhile, I’m sorry for sounding like a broken record 😉 But since we’re heading into fall, and many of us will likely be hanging out at home more often, I strongly suggest adding these cozy little numbers. They’re super stylish, comfy and perfect for wearing 24/7!

Shoes that work with all your fall outfits

Sophie cardigan | Mother “Looker” denim | Schutz loafers | J.Crew cashmere tee, color snow

In case you missed this very important post (wink), click here to read. There are 5 basic shoes we all need for fall, including the pair of loafers in the photo above. It doesn’t matter whether you choose a mule loafer or a slip-on, it’s definitely the shoe of the season.

After writing the shoe post, I immediately spotted some new loafers — I’d love if someone gifted them to me! Check out these new ones by Tory Burch, and this Veronica Beard style.

It’s time for a little self care!

Honeydew robe | Colleen Rothschild, Friends & Family 25% off site wide

Several exciting products have made their way into my daily routine. I absolutely love the Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm, and her Eye Serum too. Both are amazing, particularly when applied with her Gua Sha tool which helps with absorption — and feels good too!

Another new find I’m SO excited to share is the GloPro micro-needling device. After reading many reviews, and seeing that it received the hard-to-attain Violet Grey stamp of approval, I’m convinced this would be an excellent tool to incorporate into your daily routine several times a week.

P.S. How cute is this robe? And it’s very well-priced!

The jacket cardigan that makes many outfits!

Sophie cardigan | Allsaints tee (with shoulder pads!) | Mother denim | Dior bracelets | Givenchy bag | Mules

This Sophie cardigan from J.Crew is so good, I think everyone should get one! It’s comfy, because it feels like a sweater, but looks polished like a blazer. It was featured in Who What Wear to highlight the color camel, which “instantly adds sophistication and elegance to any outfit.” The black pants, which I wear almost every day, are the starting piece of every outfit (I wrote about it here).

Happy October everyone! xo
