Blazers are so stylish right now! They are the perfect jacket option over many outfits, even in the summer. Lately I’ve been seeing blazers over everything from t-shirt dresses, to denim skirts to jeans, and even shorts! And I know one thing for certain: If my twenty-something daughter and my fashionable friends and the street style set are all wearing them, then we know they’re the right piece to own at any age.
The inspiration I’m sharing isn’t necessarily for the working set. It’s for stylish women who want to look current and put together. The trick is styling it a little differently than in the past. My outfit was pretty simple in the above photo, with my go-to graphic tee, denim and white accessories. I love how Emily styled her blazer with a tube top, faded denim and the chic cat eye tortoiseshell sunnies – and slides. Both outfits are perfect for a dressed down summer day.

Once you’ve found a blazer you love, try wearing it with a denim skirt like this one or this one. Or with the white wide leg jeans in the above photo, similar to the Paige denim “Nellie”. A blazer always looks great with denim, including the most current style right now, ankle straight leg jeans. I’ve picked out my favorites here. I also love the idea of wearing one over a simple t-shirt dress like this or this. And if you’re going out, throw it over a dress like this.
