Navy blazer, trouser, Prada pump
The piece that completes your outfits: the blazer
If you’ve been following me for awhile, you know I love a good blazer. And yes, this wardrobe hero is nothing new, however —HOW you wear it is. Sure, you will wear it to work (if you work), but a blazer is so much more … think of it as a jacket! Wear it like you would a cardigan or in place of any other jacket you might typically consider. Of course, you’ll continue to throw it over your favorite slogan tee (which by the way isn’t going away any time soon) and denim, but also try it over a dress, with flowy pants or a matching trouser, similar to what I’m wearing above. And of course a blazer in a pretty color or even a plaid is what I’m talking about, because I’m assuming you already own black. Most of us do!
This past fall during New York Fashion Week (which I point out because it’s a great place to spot future trends), the show-goers were wearing blazers as jackets instead of the typical moto and denim styles of past seasons. This means there are sure to be many versions as we head into spring.
Here’s a round up of some great blazers I KNOW will work:
Veronica beard Dickey jacket
These famous blazers have clever, hidden zippers which allow any dickey to be zipped in. Read this previous post on Veronica Beard.

This denim one is SO good! It’s the perfect one to own if you already own the grey hoodie. This one is pretty awesome too. They all are!

I love that you can pick up a Topshop version like this one for $110 (and is Balmain inspired), or the prettiest satin pink ALC version with a matching pant!
Wear with flowy trousers
