Most White Jeans Don’t Make the Cut — These Do!

After more than 25 years as a Nordstrom Buyer & Personal stylist, I’ve tried more pairs of white denim than I can count. And I have opinions! There’s something about a fresh pair of white jeans that resets your entire wardrobe for the season. They’re the closest thing to a closet refresh – pair them with a silk blouse and heels for dinner, a tee and sandals for the farmers market, or a blazer for lunch and somehow everything looks polished. They’re elevated and effortless at the same time, which is exactly why they’re a summer staple worth getting right. And if your current pair has seen better days? This is your sign to refresh.

Today I’m sharing the white jeans that pass every test — opacity, fit, comfort, style and quality. These are the ones I recommend to everyone. A few extra style tips for white denim:

* Wash in cold water to prevent fading

* Never put in the dryer … air dry flat to maintain shape and avoid yellowing

* Store folded, since hanging can stretch the jeans

* The best style tip – pair a white top and neutral shoes, and then any jacket will work on top

These jeans fit everyone! They’re modern, cool and one of my highest recommendations. This year I’m wearing long length jeans over cropped styles, mainly because they feel a little more current – although once the weather warms up I’ll pull the cropped ones back out again.

Please note these jeans come are in lots of washes, but when it comes to white, this one is really more of a soft white, called tonal ecru, and these are the ones that I recommend (in addition to all the other blue washes). #2 Cropped ankle styles

When summer rollls around, you cant go wrong with classic white jeans that hit at the ankle. The Mother Hustler Roller are favorites, and I was happy to see them come back in stock again this year. As I mentioned above, the Paige Anessa makes a shorter length, which you can see here.

#3 The new “it” jeans

I haven’t loved a pair of jeans this much in a really really long time! The cool twisted seam leg feels fresh and new, and these will elevate all your existing wardrobe staples. This blazer is the perfect example – all of a sudden it looks more updated. They keep adding new washes because they keep selling out! I love the faded light blue, and the new white ones that just arrived (different than the ecru ones above). And just when I thought I didn’t need any more jeans, I spotted this new medium wash that I had to have! Mainly because there’s a petite option! Don’t wait because these are cool and different.
