The Best Summer Pieces to Buy at Nordstrom Right Now!

After unpacking and settling back in from a long weekend to Dallas, I went straight to Nordstrom to see what had happened while I was gone 😉 It might sound a little silly, but it’s where I get my inspiration to write this blog. During my 10+ years as a Nordstrom Personal Stylist, I always arrived early for my appointments so I could  “make the rounds.” I’d walk the entire store, noting what was new, what was selling, and learning as much as I could along the way.

These days, I still “make the rounds,” except now I do it online with even more product at my fingertips! I still get excited when spotting new arrivals — being an insider all these years has helped me develop a sense for what’s hot, what’s not, and what you’ll love too. Today’s post is about the best things to buy at Nordstrom right now. From elevated basics to standout staples, these are the pieces that work for everyday life and still feel a little special. 1 – Treasure & Bond denim jacket – A lot of need to update our denim jackets, and this is the perfect option! It’s designer-inspired, loose and comfy and only $129

2 – Staud Phare dresses – I recently purchased this black Staud dress, and wore it to a wedding this past weekend in Dallas. It’s super flattering and one of the best-selling dresses that Staud designs. I recently recommended it to my sister-in-law for her son’s wedding – this one comes in several options, including the stripe on the board above and all the other versions you can see here.

3 – Mother Lemon Twist jeans – This is the latest favorite — everyone who tries it on, buys it! Longer length denim is a little more modern this season, and this style has a cool twisted seam detail. Check out the different washes: white, ecru and medium blue – all except white are available in petite sizes. This jean is one of my highest recommendations if you like a more trend forward (but still super wearable) jean.

4 – Dermaflash – Sharing a little TMI here, but in early 2025, I was taking oral Minoxidil for hair loss. After being on 1/2 pill for many months, my doctor suggested going to a full pill. Then several months later, I discovered hair on my face 😔 Mortified, I pulled out the Dermaflash I’d had for years and started using it (and obviously went back to the half pill). Now, I use it every handful of days. And, while I don’t have the hair issue anymore, it does gently exfoliate and get rid of unwanted hairs, and leaves you glowing. Whew!

5 – Chantelle soft stretch panties – Shhh don’t tell anyone, but these not sexy, super comfortable best-selling panties are really that good! It’s a secret in the lingerie department: this is the one panty everyone loves (and wears). They’re one size fits all (which is kind of crazy), and they come in several different styles. You’ll thank me later on this little tip 🙂

6 – Favorite brand Staud – This is definitely the “it” brand lately, and between the gorgeous dresses, cool shoes and beaded handbags, this is one to check out. I love the black silk dress – is so flattering on. Just purchased these go-with-everything sandals. Also spotted this brown studded midi dress, and this special beaded bag. Check it out, I’m sure you’ll see something that catches your eye.

7 – La Blanca Goddess swimsuit – This is hands down my absolute favorite swimsuit, and I’ve worn it for years. It’s comfortable, super flattering, and the white looks chic with every single coverup. Just add a cute hat and glamorous sunnies, and you’ll feel a little extra on vacation. This is another one of my highest recommendations for your next vacation.

8 – The only shorts that fit almost everyone – I really don’t like shorts at all(!!) but when I tried these on, I was pleasantly surprised. And my Nordstrom friend shared that everyone she helped in the dressing room bought them too!

10 – Brand new Paige Anessa jeans – The jeans that fit pretty much everyone just arrived in a new faded blue wash, and this ankle length striped one. Both so perfect for summer

11 – The new clean beauty brand – On a whim, I decided to toss my Donna Karan Deodorant since it started to give me headaches. So when I grabbed a replacement, I had no idea that it would get me hooked on a new brand! The Salt & Stone Santal & Vetivier scent smells just like Le Labo Santal 33, and the deodorant actually works. I also purchased this new body cream in the Saffron & Cedar scent, and it smells like Rouge 540! Now I’ve gone back for the body wash, and it’s also a love!

12 – I replaced my Hanky Panky thongs with these – I can’t say enough good things about thie Cosabella thong panties. The lace is a little bit wider, and so they don’t ride up as much. They’re soft, and super comfortable, and they’re now the only thong panties I’m wearing. Let me know if you try them too

13 – Petite jeans – Talk about a game changer if you’re 5’4″ and under! The knee placement is higher and the rise and inseam are shorter, so everything fits where it should. Some favorites I’ve tried recently include: Mother Hustler Roller ankle in white, Paige Anessa, and Mother Lemon Twist. I highly recommend all of these.

14 – Statement gold cuff – I love a statement cuff – it’s a timeless piece that makes such a big impact. I’ve worn this Lili Claspe one for several years, and still love it. But spotted this his new one by Monica Vinader and couldnt wait to share it here.

15 – Summer fragrance — One of life’s little luxuries is finding a signature scent that you absolutely love. In the summer, my go-to fragrance is Portofino. It’s a little sexy, in a summery kind of way, and I love layering it with this body oil. You’ll smell good, and your skin will glisten.

 

The Last 3 …

16 – Kiehl’s Creme de Corps – Always have this one with me. It goes on every vacation — a body lotion that you’ll love if you haven’t tried it already. It gives your arms and legs a lovely sheen, it feels nice, and it’s moisturizing!

17 – Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks blush – I just switched to this blush stick that gives you a little bit of color and also leaves you looking glowy in a natural kind of way. I haven’t tried it yet, but you can also use it on your lips. This is perfect for summer.

18 – Dolce Vita sandal – I was pretty surprised to see this sandal basically copy the Loeffler Randall one, but for a fraction of the price. I have them in gold and a soft white, and have worn them many times. Just today, I decided to compare the two side by side, and the only difference I can see is that the toe box on the Dolce Vita one is slightly bigger. You can’t go wrong with the price, it’s such a great shoe!
