These are the 20 Nordstrom items I recommend most

After unpacking and settling back in from a little trip to Mexico, I went straight to Nordstrom to see what had happened while I was gone 😉 It might sound a little silly, but it’s I where I get my inspiration to write this blog. During my 25+ years as a Nordstrom Stylist, I always arrived early for my appointments so I could  “make the rounds.” I’d walk the entire store, noting what was new, what was selling, and learning as much as I could along the way.

These days, I’m still “making the rounds,” except now I do it online with even more product at my fingertips! I still get excited when spotting new arrivals — being an insider all these years has helped me develop a sense for what’s hot, what’s not, and what you’ll love too. Today’s post is about the best things to buy at Nordstrom right now. From elevated basics to standout staples, these are the pieces that work for everyday life and still feel a little special. 1 – Treasure & Bond denim jacket – If you need to update your denim jacket, this is the perfect option! It’s designer-inspired, loose and comfy and only $99.

2 – Allsaints leather jacket – Stand collar jackets are having a moment right now, and this cool AllSaints jacket will give your wardrobe an instant upgrade. It’s relaxed and super stylish, and you’ll wear it any time of year. Look at the new suede version here, and the leather options here.

3 – Mother Kick It jeans – This is the latest favorite — everyone who tries it on, buys it! If you’re looking for a long length, straight leg style, this is the one. It’s leg lengthening, comfortable and right on trend. Look at this medium wash and this really flattering black wash. I own both!

4 – Dermaflash – Sharing a little TMI here, but in early 2025, I was taking oral Minoxidil for hair loss. After being on 1/2 pill for many months, my doctor suggested going to a full pill. Then several months later, I discovered hair on my face 😔 Mortified, I pulled out the Dermaflash I’d had for years and started using it (and obviously went back to the half pill). Now, I use it every handful of days. And, while I don’t have the hair issue anymore, it does gently exfoliate and get rid of unwanted hairs, and leaves you glowing. Whew!

5 – Chantelle soft stretch panties – Shhh don’t tell anyone, but these not sexy, super comfortable best-selling panties are really that good! It’s a secret in the lingerie department: this is the one panty everyone loves (and wears). They’re one size fits all (which is kind of crazy), and they come in several different styles. You’ll thank me later on this little tip 🙂

6 – La Blanca swimsuit – This is hands down my absolute favorite swimsuit, and I’ve worn it for years. It’s comfortable, super flattering, and the white looks chic with every single coverup. Just add a cute hat and glamorous sunnies, and you’ll feel a little extra on vacation.

7 – Vitamin A linen shirt & matching short set – This is another one of my highest recommendations for your next vacation. You can easily wear the oversized shirt alone over a swimsuit, or add the shorts for a matching set. There are several options, including an all-white set, a new navy floral print and of course black. All so good!

8 – Frame flutter sleeve sweater – I love this new sweater so much! The gold button detail is pretty, and the flutter sleeve is feminine and a little extra. Perfect as we turn the corner towards spring.

9 – Spinelli Killcolin ring – These unique mixed metal rings have a cult following, and every fashion person seems to know about them. It was on Emily’s Christmas list, and her boyfriend gave her this one which she’s been wearing every day. They are a splurge, but it’s great to see Nordstrom carrying more unique jewelry lines.

10 – Vince cable crew sweater – This brand new sweater is soft and lightweight. How pretty is this new green color? Layer a white tank under, so just a little peeks out. And, if it’s cold where you are, try a long sleeved collared shirt under and roll the sleeves. This is a great piece that’s also available in several other colors.

11 – Paige Anessa jeans in ecru – The jeans that really do fit everyone, and there are several new colors available including écru and this new vintage mauve color. You’ll love the lighter wash long length style too. Several months ago, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I all agreed to share one jean –- and after trying on many styles, this is the one we chose. It’s soft, stretchy, and super stylish! There is a petite option, which you can find here.

12 – Frank & Eileen knit peacoat – I can’t say enough good things about this comfy jacket. Made of cotton terry cloth, it’s perfect for travel or just running errands. It’s available in a cropped version here, and a longer version here. And if you like the idea of a set, be sure and check out these matching pants.

13 – Petite jeans – Talk about a game changer if you’re 5’4″ and under! The knee placement is higher and the rise and inseam are shorter, so everything fits where it should. Some favorites I’ve tried recently include: Mother Hustler Roller, Mother Hustler, Frame Le Pixie Reboot, Frame Le Slim Palazzo and Paige Anessa. I highly recommend all of these.

14 – Sanctuary jacket – This is another well-priced jacket that looks so much like the Chloe one! The color goes with everything, and the stand collar detail is right on trend. This is one of my favorite jackets in my closet.

15 – Signature scent — One of life’s little luxuries is finding a signature scent that you absolutely love. My go-to fragrance is Rouge 540. It’s a little sexy, long lasting, and ideal for every day wear. The amount of compliments I get is crazy — no wonder it’s listed as the #1 most complimented fragrance out there! Another one to try is Portrait of a Lady, which is a beloved, long lasting scent that can be worn any time of year. I just replenished while shopping in NYC.

 

The Last 5 …

16 – Kiehl’s Creme de Corps – Always have this one with me. It goes on every vacation — a body lotion that you’ll love if you haven’t tried it already. It gives your arms and legs a lovely sheen, it feels nice, and it’s moisturizing!

17 – Vince Pintuck pants – Every fashion girl is wearing this elevated pant trend, and after reading a Who What Wear article about them, I decided it’s time to get on board. These Italian cotton-wool stretch pants fit nicely and work with everything from a travel outfit to a night out (add a strappy sandal). For reference, I took a size small, and had them shortened.

18 – Dolce Vita sandal – I was pretty surprised to see this sandal basically copy the Loeffler Randall one, but for a fraction of the price. I have them in gold and a soft white, and have worn them many times. Just today, I decided to compare the two side by side, and the only difference I can see is that the toe box on the Dolce Vita one is slightly bigger. You can’t go wrong with the price, it’s such a great shoe!

19 – Nordstrom cashmere scarf – I just spotted this new cashmere striped scarf, and it’s beautiful. Perfect for travel or for cold weather days. This is a good one, I’d grab one quickly before it sells out!

20 – Victoria Beckham Portofino perfume – Another fragrance, I know … but I read about this summer scent, and found it in NYC. It’s perfect for vacation. (Although I wore it the other day, and reminisced about summer and warm weather.) If you like it, the body oil is also really nice and gives you a little sparkle.
