The Fall Dress Edit: 7 Effortless Styles for Every Occasion
Next week I’m heading to NYC, so I’ve been in major outfit-planning mode. Since I have a few events coming up, I’ve been doing a little “blog research” — which basically means ordering things left and right, and making endless trips to our favorite stores 😉 Besides finding new jeans, the cutest sweaters and cool new jackets, I’ve also discovered a handful of dresses that I think you’ll love!
Today’s post is about fall dresses you can wear for EVERY occasion. From cozy knits to elevated day dresses to polished evening picks, these are the effortless styles worth having in your closet this season. Susie’s Favorite Dresses

This black ALC dress is an all time favorite, and it’s ideal for many different occasions
White dresses are another favorite, and they work all year long, depending on the fabrication
For a pop of color, try a red dress! This one was even too short for me, so I lengthened it by two inches

Tuckernuck is a favorite website, and they really do have some of the best fall dresses available. They just opened a new store this month on the Upper East Side in NYC, and it will be one of my first stops. Here are a few new dresses that caught my eye.
Knit dresses: this one is a perfect everyday dress paired with knee boots – and it’s well-priced at $128
Cocktail dresses: look at this black lace one, this one that’s back in stock, this green one and this one
Daytime dresses: consider this merlot faux leather one and this polo knit dress and this vegan suede one

Quince makes some of the best washable silk dresses, and a good friend told me about this strapless one. It arrived yesterday, and it really is that good! Super flattering, and perfect with boots or sandals. Other favorites I love:
