This time of year, my goal is always to help you select the very best items on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. So, to make it easy for you, I’ve narrowed it down to my top 10 picks by category. The sale can be a little overwhelming (and exciting) because, well … we all love a good deal! Check your closets and see what you need — then get ready to have some fun 😉

Why is the Anniversary Sale such a big deal? Because it’s brand new fall merchandise, on sale before the season even starts … and it gets marked back up in a few weeks. So, now is the time to buy the main pieces for your fall wardrobe!

Your #1 strategy: focus on the items that are most likely to sell out. Many customer favorites literally sell out on the first day, and sometimes they don’t get restocked. #1 Designer Collections, Part 1: Here’s Where to Start

Hands down, this is the very first place to start. There are certain items in each collection that go first, so I’m sharing this year’s predictions! Let me explain. Several years ago, when I was working as a Nordstrom Stylist, we were’t allowed to pull items for our customers until 8:00 am. Of course, everyone wanted a Veronica Beard jacket! Just before opening, 8 stylists were standing in front of the fixture, and we each could take ONE. No joke. And, any others to be sold that day needed to be ordered. This is what I’m talking about … buy the things that will go first. Trust me on this one!
