Last summer, I took a special birthday trip to the Amalfi coast … talk about fashion inspiration everywhere! We wandered around the windy streets in Positano, enjoyed some beach time while staying at Palazzo Avino, and connected with family in Salerno. It was hot, so every day I usually wore a midi style linen dress (like this), flat sandals or flip flops, and a straw bag and hat. So easy — and super stylish!
Today’s post is about classic linen pieces you’ll wear over and over again. Since it’s a trending category, the options are endless. I’m narrowing the top 5 that are essential to a summer wardrobe. For example, casual drawstring linen pants are the cool piece to own. Whether you’re hanging out at the beach or running errands, you’ll feel a little extra! Once the weather heats up, relying on breezy linen dresses will make getting dressed much easier. Think midi styles in classic colors like navy, white and soft neutrals. Add a caramel-colored sandal, and this will be your go-to uniform. If you’d like to dress up for a lunch or happy hour, look for styles like the one above — it fits so nicely!

As proclaimed in Vogue, the “cool girl’s outfit of choice this summer” is a linen matching set. I agree. Comfortable, versatile, unfussy — this is the easiest way to look breezy but put-together. I love the green one in the above photo; see below for more favorites.

As mentioned above, casual drawstring linen pants are the piece to own this summer. Pair with a tank and sandal for an effortless but stylish look. Also ideal for travel (who cares if they get wrinkled?), beach days (throw on when it gets cooler mid-afternoon), and outdoor lunch dates.

There’s just something about linen that elevates any outfit … maybe it’s the classic style, maybe it’s the very slight sheen. But, no matter what, a linen button-up is the piece to reach for when temps get high. And did I mention how versatile it is? Wear alone with the sleeves rolled up, open over a tank, or tucked into jeans with a cool belt. You can’t go wrong here. This one is my highest recommendations,
