Of all the things I do for So Susie, creating capsule wardrobes is top of the list … and I think this one is extra special! I spent hours selecting just the right items for this capsule, and I’ve mixed in a few special pieces that bring it all together. Having the option of endless outfit combinations is helpful for all of us. And, since we’re starting a new season, now is the time to start thinking about our spring wardrobes!

Your Spring 2025 Capsule Wardrobe should be comprised of elevated, versatile, well-fitting items that make many different outfits. If you add a couple of trendy pieces, this is the magic that brings all your outfits to life! This month, I was inspired by touches of pink and bright green, combined with faded blue and soft white. These colors are always timeless and sophisticated, and they’re perfect for this time of year.

Today’s post features the brand new Spring Capsule Wardrobe I’ve created for you. I believe in carefully and thoughtfully purchasing pieces that can be worn several different ways. Remember, this capsule is for inspiration, and you can easily substitute anything you already own. For example, I fell in love with this gorgeous Veronica Beard blazer, but you might prefer this more classic one. How to Create Your Own Capsule Wardrobe

In order to create an amazing wardrobe, you have to start with the basics. Then, once you have the basics covered, throw in a trend piece or two. After that, keep things fresh and updated by adding new, colorful accessories. It’s always hard to narrow this down, but the pieces below are ones I recommend as we head into the spring season. Trust me, you’ll wear them over and over again!

All-important Jackets

When I start working on spring 2025 capsule wardrobes, it’s the jackets, or “third pieces,” that I thought about first. Not only are these the pieces you’ll have for years to come, but they’re also an important part of any stylish outfit. Here are the details on what I selected.

Cinq a Sept shorter blazer with hood – This is the perfect blazer length to wear with all your wide-leg and flare jeans. It’s comfortable, and the hoodie adds a casual touch. This color is a soft white, making it a great option to wear all year long

Vince knit boxy jacket – This jacket feels like a sweatshirt, but looks polished and put together. You’ll wear this many different ways, with everything from jeans to linen pants to skirts

Denim lady jacket – This cute little jacket stopped me in my tracks while shopping in NYC! I love the trim and it looks way more expensive than it is

Anine Bing utility jacket – Everyone should have a green utility jacket — it’s so versatile! This one is oversized and cool. Love the gold button detail, which adds a pretty touch to a workhorse of a jacket

And three more …

Veronica Beard sparkle jacket – While this isn’t a necessary piece by any means, I absolutely love it and had to include it. I’d wear it with a shorter skirt, and either a heel or flat sandals

Frank & Eileen knit navy jacket – Hands down, this is one of my favorite jackets. It’s comfortable, perfect for travel, and it works nicely with skirts and jeans. If you want a set, look at the matching pant here.

Max Mara trench jacket – This a recent splurge purchase. Navy is a versatile color, and this is a classic style you’ll reach for over and over again. Look at the style board below — it’s gorgeous!
