Upgrade Your Wardrobe: Start With These 12 Super Stylish Pieces!
If I was starting to build a wardrobe from scratch, these are the 12 super stylish pieces I would choose. This has been one of my favorite posts to write, and I think long and hard about what ends up on the boards (below). It’s challenging, because the pieces must check several boxes. First, they should be new and on-trend. They also need to be versatile in order to make many different outfits. And, they must make you feel confident! After all, these are pieces you’ll wear for years to come.
*One of the most valuable lessons I learned in the dressing room is the importance of considering the entire outfit when buying pieces. In other words, make sure what you purchase goes with what you already have in your closet. You want to make sure it all works together and that you’ll be able to make great outfits. So save your money on the pieces that don’t go seamlessly with other items in your wardrobe!
Today’s post is about 12 super stylish pieces that will upgrade your fall wardrobe. Since accessories are so important, I’m including them as well. I hope you find this useful and start thinking of all the outfit possibilities in your own closets. Making these boards is my happy place, and I hope you find an idea or two. 🌟

Why These 12 Items Made the List
Let’s talk jackets: A soft patterned blazer like this one has many outfit possibilities. Try a classic white tee and wider leg jeans, or a shorter skirt and boots. When it comes to trenches, this $99 one is really good, and it’s also gently oversized. You’ll wear it all year long. This season, scarf coats are everywhere. And, I saw this Aritzia vest in the store windows this weekend, and it was styled with trousers, skirts and denim.
Tops & Blouses: We all love a good graphic tee, and this Anine Bing has been featured on many of our style boards. It adds a little pattern to your outfit, and it’s just cool! Also, cardigans are trending this year. The lady jacket styles from J.Crew are really great quality. And this pretty green blouse caught my eye — it’s nice to have some color in our daily outfits!
Bottoms & Skirts: Longer length jeans are everywhere, and they’re a smart way to update your wardrobe. Wider leg jeans are actually super flattering, and I’ve been strongly considering this soft all black style. If you’re considering a blue wash, check out this one by Mother. When it comes to trousers, this one is a favorite — many different colors and lengths are available. And everyone is wearing skirts right now — this Anine Bing one is amazing!
