Traveling this summer? Don’t make this mistake!
All you need for 10 days in Europe ✈️ Part 2, Côte d’Azur
A couple of weeks ago, I went on a ten day “working vacation” in Europe. Of course, it wasn’t easy to pack … but I did it! I fit everything into this Monos suitcase and this larger Beis Weekender, and both served me well. Since many of you have Europe trips coming up, you might want to take a look at Part 1 of this post, “Packing List: All You Need for 10 Days in Europe.” This is where I shared what I wore in London and Paris.
If your summer travels include a trip to a beach resort area (or a sunny place with a pool), then this post is for you! The vibe in Cannes was quite different from the vibe in London and Paris. However, this isn’t surprising since it’s a resort town, with warmer weather and beautiful beaches everywhere.
So … what’s my Street Style report?
Zimmermann, Zimmermann, Zimmermann!! Every third gal was wearing a Zimmermann dress, and understandably so. They’re breezy, pretty and super stylish. We also saw straw hats and totes everywhere, Hermès sandals, and of course, crossbody bags galore!
Staying at the newly renovated and absolutely stunning Carlton Cannes Hotel was definitely a treat. While I usually like to write about amazing boutique hotels, the Carlton Cannes is definitely not boutique … it’s grand scale luxury. That said, it’s good to mix it up every now and then 😉 My dear friend and I relaxed at the Carlton Beach Club three times (!!!), enjoyed incredible seafood dinners, and worked in the gorgeous lobby (with cocktails, of course). We also enjoyed the famous Cannes flower market, and did a little shopping. Highly recommend this stunning hotel for a splurge or a special occasion.
Oops! I made a mistake: Sadly, due to strict rules at the London Heathrow Airport (and likely other large airports), I had to toss several of my brand new beauty items, including my favorite Kiehl’s body lotion and a brand new Dry Bar dry shampoo. Even I was surprised since I made it through the Portland, San Diego and Nice airports without any issues. So, learn from my mistake and know that at Heathrow, they literally hand you a clear plastic bag, and all your beauty items must fit in that ONE bag!
