5 ways to style your favorite white shirt

Pretty much everyone I know loves a great white shirt. I know I do, and the relaxed, easy-to-wear Frank & Eileen superfine cotton one got me through the entire pandemic. Even now, it’s still one of my favorites! I recently read a Vogue article with inspo on how to style a white shirt, so I thought I’d share my take on this wardrobe classic we all likely already own or should own. From a classic silhouette to an oversized version, this elevated basic will easily integrate with your other pieces. So, I’m going to show you 5 ways to style your favorite white shirt!

I have three personal favorites that, in my experience, work for everyone. The Frank & Eileen “Joedy” mentioned above is slightly oversized, works for all seasons, and has impeccable quality. The “Ellis” by Rails, made of organic cotton gauze, is a lightweight blouse that’s perfect for warmer months. I’ll be wearing mine on repeat throughout the summer! Finally, I recently discovered the Citizens of Humanity “Kayla” shirt , and little did I know, everyone loves it! It’s more generously oversized than the Frank & Eileen one, and it has a cool vibe that updates all your outfits.

I own all three of these best sellers, and I think you’d like any one of them. As I mentioned above, I’ve owned the Frank & Eileen for several years, and during the WFH days, I wore it constantly. It’s thin and oversized — those are two things I love about it. You just scrunch up the sleeves and hardly ever need to iron it! The Rails gauze shirt is perfect paired with denim shorts, left open over a tank, or tied at the waist over any thin-strapped dress. The “Kayla” white shirt by Citizens of Humanity is also oversized, and has a high-low hem which makes it easy to tuck and looks flattering from the back. You can’t go wrong with any of these!
