I’m squishing these things into my suitcase!
It has been a while since I’ve had to wear actual work clothes, given my fun little blogger job 😊 A lot of it is just computer work at home! So, it was a bit of a challenge to pack a suitcase for a work trip with my Nordstrom6 stylist friends. Nordstrom is hosting us for two fun fashion events in Southern California and we’re all very excited! The first is a designer event at the South Coast Plaza store in Costa Mesa this Thursday, March 3rd from 3-6 pm. The second is the following day at the Fashion Valley store in San Diego, where the Nordstrom6 will be hosting a stylist pop-up shop! As a professional stylist, helping a client prepare for these events is easy — but outfit planning and packing for myself? Well, that’s a different matter altogether!
Today’s post is about what I’m squishing into my suitcase for four days of fashion, inspiration, business planning and, of course, meeting many of you. I can hardly wait! Honestly, connecting with all of you is the gift of blogging, and it is one of the things I enjoy the most. Keep reading for some work outfit inspiration, a wine tasting outfit, an easy travel outfit for the trip home, and the best clothes for just hanging out, casual and comfy. It’s a lot to pack into my Beis Weekender bag and the Monos carryon — but I’m going to try! Stay tuned 🙂

Day 1: Plane/work outfit
Thankfully the flight from Portland to San Diego takes only 2.5 hours, and while I’d much rather be wearing Vuori joggers and my Moncler puffer, I’m having to step things up and convert into a work outfit! This Sandro shirt jacket with Frame denim and slingback shoes is the outfit I’ve decided on. I’ll be packing cozy socks for the flight and my all-time favorite scarf for extra warmth. I’ll even bring this sweater to throw over my shoulders!

This YSL tote has been on a lot of trips. It holds many things — even a crossbody bag! This white Balenciaga bag is cool and edgy, so I decided to go for it since it goes with pretty much everything
Cinq a Sept has been looking really good recently, and this blouse (also available in black) has a pretty ruffle detail. The neckline makes it a great layering piece under many jackets.
Sleepover Essentials
Since we’re having a big sleepover at Danielle’s, my pj game needs to be right on trend! I’ll be packing these slippers, these Pj’s, some eye gels, these new facial wipes and Colleen Rothschild Cleansing Balm to share with my N6 friends. This will be our third time staying with Danielle, and her home is warm and cozy — we all just love it!

Day 2: Work outfit/Designer event
Well, I have three outfits I’m considering! While I really want to wear the blazer/jean combo (below left), I was trying to elevate the look and go for a dress. The Veronica Beard Miller Dickey jacket and Vince slip dress are back ups, along with the two outfits below. Everything is coming with me in my suitcase 😂

Day 3: Work outfit/N6 Pop-up store
The last few times I’ve visited San Diego, I’ve been cold 😂 and so this time I’m layering up! I’ve decided to include the Veronica Beard Miller Dickey jacket, this faux leather hoodie, long flare jeans and these shoes in my suitcase. Perfect for meeting new friends and running around the store!

We are going to be exhausted — at least I know I will be — so being comfy over the weekend sounds lovely! I’m not exactly sure what I’ll feel like wearing, but below are some options. I’m putting a few different options in my suitcase, and you’ll see what I wore!
