Room 3 Report: The at-home version!

In case you’re wondering what in the world this is, let me explain. “Room 3” (or my “work office”) is actually a dressing room where I meet clients and friends to help them figure out which clothes to buy and how to wear them. Over the years in Room 3, there have been hundreds of friendships formed, laughter and tears, secrets told, job changes announced, kid things … oh, and clothes While the satisfaction of helping you all goes WAY beyond the actual clothes, we do get pretty excited when we find things we love! And, now things are different. I realize the world has changed, and we’re all doing our best to hang in there. It has been close to a month since I last visited Room 3 at Nordstrom, and I’m missing so many of you! I sure hope you’re all staying safe and healthy. I’m also overjoyed by the lovely messages saying it’s a nice distraction to see a little style inspo here. So … rather than sit around, I decided to find a mirror and some good lighting and continue the “Room 3 Reports!” Excuse the mess in the background, it’s really how I live 😊

Here’s the ninth edition of the Room 3 Report!

#1 L-Space cover-up

I purchased this dress (it’s actually a cover-up) for a trip to Palm Springs, where my family was planning to spend Spring Break. Oh well, it wasn’t meant to be, so I’ll save it for warmer days! In the meantime it had completely sold out, but I’m excited to report that you can purchase it here! It also comes in a couple of other prints and colors, all of which you’ll love. Side note: I purchased the small, and had a hook put in so it wasn’t quite so low. I also had to have a hem, but remember, I’m only 5’1!  It’s on sale, and it’s so cute … don’t wait!

#2 J.Crew cardigan

This was my grocery-run outfit the other day. Yes, I took the opportunity to dress up a little, and pulled out my favorite sandals from last year since the weather is sunny here in Portland!

The other day I did a fun insta collaboration with a few other bloggers. The challenge: mixing prints. This is about as crazy as I get — stripes/leopard and snakeskin print pouch!

#4 J.Crew cardigan

I love a good cardigan, and when there’s a sparkly button, it’s even better! This sweater is running low in stock, so don’t wait. It comes in another color combo which you’ll also like (I’m wearing XS). The graphic tee is definitely a fun addition, and will come in handy with denim throughout summer. P.S If this sweater is gone, keep looking because inventory changes often 😉

#5 Target loungewear

I was making a toilet paper run to Target right when this all happened, and upon the realization that we were going to be home for awhile, I realized my comfy clothes situation was in terrible shape! So, I picked up this comfy outfit, and I’m so glad I did. I even had to go into Emily’s  room and dig for the joggers since she had swiped them! Let’s talk slippers: these are the BEST! There are many versions on the internet, but these by EMU are real wool, very comfy, and of course the pink feels springy.  You’ll wear them every single day!

#6 J.Crew linen cardigan

Probably one of the most versatile cardigans around. It’s stylish, covers your bum, works with dresses or denim … it’s worth every penny! It comes in a wool blend version (see this post), and in the new-for-summer version here. It’s currently on sale, but don’t wait, because even now things are still selling out.

#7 Blank NYC faux leather blazer

I can hardly wait to wear this leather blazer again! It’s easily mistaken for something WAY more expensive, and it can be worn with so many outfits. Plus, you won’t believe the price!

#8 Chelsea 28 dress

Here’s another dress purchased many weeks ago, and it hasn’t seen the light of day! It’s difficult to see, but there are two slits in the front and the under slip is much shorter, giving a nice see-through illusion. It’s on sale, so don’t wait!

#9 Vuori Jogger

Even I’m getting tired of talking about this jogger, and probably by now, most of you already own it. But in case you’re new around here and haven’t made this purchase, then it’s time you do!! Read more about it here, and do yourself a favor: jump on the bandwagon, because these are everyone’s favorites!

#10 Willow jumpsuit

This fun jumpsuit is almost sold out, but it does come in black and in this strapless version here. I wore this on my recent trip to LA (read about it here), and even a young 20-something complimented me on my outfit! I’m wearing the XS and I found it to run big.

#11 Veronica Beard dresses

I had to bring these up, because these mirror selfies were taken in the Veronica Beard store in Pacific Palisades. So, so cute, and when we get out of quarantine, both will be super versatile for summer! You can even wear these now depending on where you live 🙂
