Welcome to another Room 3 Report: Snap up these new arrivals
It has been a busy few weeks around here! This means I’m basically living in “Room 3,” finding out what works for you and what doesn’t. Because of all that time in the dressing room, I’m able to share the latest and greatest with you and make very solid shopping suggestions … which is the purpose of this blog! I scout out the very best, and guide you in the right direction of what to buy and how to wear it.
And speaking of … thank you, thank you for shopping through this blog. Each time you click and make a purchase (doesn’t even need to be what you click on), I get a small commission. This helps me create better and more useful content for you.
This past week, I quickly tried on some favorites and snapped a bunch of photos. Please excuse all the unedited (mostly) and imperfect ones. It’s only after I’m home, scrolling through them all, that I notice things like sensors and tags, or a little mess in the background. If you ever have any questions about sizing, fit, color or anything else, please contact me — I’m always happy to help. And if you enjoy reading this blog, subscribe here and never miss a post!
HERE ARE MY FAVORITE NEW ARRIVALS THAT YOU SHOULD SNAP UP AS SOON AS YOU CAN!
#1 Veronica Beard silk stretch dress
Veronica Beard dress | Prada pumps
I can’t say enough about Veronica Beard dresses. The fit is always right, they’re a little bit sexy, and most of them can be worn at different times throughout the year. I think this could be a perfect daytime holiday dress, but it will work equally as well in the spring. And, of course, my favorite nude pump works nicely with it as well.
#2 Ted Baker Chanel-inspired dress
The minute I saw this dress, I grabbed it and hurried to the dressing room. Why? Because it reminded me of an out-of-my-budget Chanel dress, and it looked like it would fit very nicely … which it did! And the price of $329 is quite reasonable. This dress can easily go from work to drinks to dinner, as well for a daytime luncheon.
#3 Chelsea 28 tiger dress
This dress looks way more expensive than its $149 price tag. Style it with a black bootie or strappy sandals, and it goes easily from day to night. A couple of side notes: first, I made extensive alterations on mine – shoulders raised, hem and sleeves shortened (remember I’m only 5’1”.) Second, this dress is currently restocked, but don’t wait because it won’t last!
#4 A new dickey!
It’s not often I get excited about a new dickey, but this one is SO GOOD! It’s hard to see, but it has a drapey scarf attached to it, giving the illusion of a sweater tied around the shoulders. It will work with any Veronica Beard blazer, so hurry on this one, it won’t last!
#5 Dress the Population cape dress
Sequin cape dress | also here in other colors
A few years ago, when a big time celebrity wore a Dress the Population dress to a fancy event, I researched it immediately. Known for cocktail dresses and sequins, this affordable brand offers a variety of sophisticated dresses at very reasonable prices. They run a little small, and this cape dress runs on the short side. How cool is this cape effect for an evening out?
#6 Two blouses you’ll love!
Pretty blouses are a must-have in all of our wardrobes. For a nice daytime look, pair it with a cozy cashmere cardigan, and for evening, try a leather jacket. Blouses add a level of sophistication to all our denim, and if you add a bootie or pump, you’re ready for all your events. The Rag and bone blouse I’m wearing is not for everyone, as it’s a fuller style with pin tuck details. I did a half tuck trick in the above photo. Try it, you might like it! I’m wearing my favorite Mother brand denim “Dazzler” jeans.
#7 One shoulder sweater
This is such a good price at $69! It’s cozy, a little sexy and perfect for a casual night out, or just lounging around the house. These sweaters run big, so size down. I noticed there aren’t many in stock currently, but here’s a trick. Put the wrong size in your shopping bag, and keep checking. I’m positive one will show up, and as we head into the colder season, I wouldn’t be surprised if we see new colors added!
#8 Club Monaco jumpsuit
Everyone should own at least one jumpsuit! They’re so easy, and stylish, and can work for many different occasions. This crop version has a self tie belt, and the buttons down the side add an interesting detail. Club Monaco has been a favorite brand lately, and the prices are very reasonable.
