Room 3 report: this just in!

I love this time of year.  The weather in Portland is at its best, and thankfully there are several weeks left to enjoy summer. This also means there are several weeks left to continue wearing our summer favorites! And if you’re lucky enough to squeeze in one more vacation before it all ends, then even better 😊

Copenhagen Fashion Week took the world by storm several days ago, and the street style inspiration from the stylish Copenhagen girls is worth watching. It’s the one Fashion Week that excites me the most, and I love seeing what the designers have lined up for fall and which new trends will emerge.  Plus, the sunny weather and the beautiful streets of Copenhagen make it the perfect backdrop for the latest Scandi fashion. So stay tuned later this week when I will cover some of the easiest trends to wear from the shows, starting right now!

Today I’m sharing some of the NEWEST, most recent pieces I’ve found for you while working in “Room 3.” Many of the finds, like this dress, can be worn RIGHT NOW!  So don’t wait or hesitate. If you see something you love, buy it. The good pieces always go quickly, and I make it my mission to share with you the hottest, bound to sell out items so you can get them before they’re gone!

#1 Ted Baker lace dress

This dress captured my attention right away.  The fall colors are a nice change as we head towards the new season, and the short sleeves make this the perfect transitional dress.  It does run on the shorter side, however, you can add hosiery and it makes it much easier to wear a shorter style of dress.

#2 ALC leopard print blouse and skirt

ALC blouse | ALC skirt | Mother brand denim | Vince mules

I tried this outfit on the day it arrived, and I haven’t seen an ALC group this good in a long time! I paired the blouse with these new Mother Brand charcoal black jeans and promptly fell in love.  Plus, I felt really tall because flares are definitely leg lengthening!

#3 Max Mara cashmere coat

There’s nothing more iconic than a Max Mara cashmere coat.  The workmanship is exquisite, with details like silk linings and the finest cashmere available. And they feel SO good when you put them on!  Max Mara has been designing coats since 1981, and the elegant designs will stand the test of time. See how Meghan Markle wears hers here. If your budget is asking for something a little more affordable, look at this one and this one.  Both are super stylish!

#4 Club Monaco and Topshop blazers

Topshop gingham check blazer | Levi’s jeans | Vince mules | Club Monaco blazer | Club Monaco silk skirt

This season, I’m hoping to add a couple of blazers to my fall wardrobe.  This new deconstructed black blazer is in my shopping cart as we speak.  I LOVE it because it’s drapey and kind of stretchy and will be the perfect update to everything I already own.  I haven’t loved a blazer this much since Veronica Beard — so take note!!  For an inexpensive alternative, try this gingham Topshop style.  It will work with everything from denim to shorts to a dress!

#5 Navy shirtdress

Navy dresses are classics that will be in your wardrobe for years to come.  By adding cool details, like the side snaps on this Club Monaco, or shimmery subtle stripes like this of-the-moment shirtdress (above), a simple navy dress becomes much more interesting!  You should have this wear-anywhere staple in your wardrobe.

#6 Eliza J floral dress, $118

It’s always exciting to find a dress that’s very well priced and stylish too!  This floral dress flows perfectly into fall and will pair nicely with this cardigan and a bootie for daytime errands or an evening out.
