Meet the new neutral: dark forest green. It’s a color that’s universally flattering and easy to pair with everything you own. The minute I spotted this gorgeous color, I knew I would be adding it to my wardrobe! The look I love most is all-black with a touch of green. It works with literally everything in your closet; from light wash denim to anything black (which we all own too much of) to dark denim, which you should definitely be purchasing this season. (See this post on dark denim)
I’ve narrowed down my picks to three ways to add this rich green to your wardrobe, along with some inspiration photos showing even more green — head to toe!
#1 accessories
The easiest way to incorporate this trending color — just a touch can go a long way. I recently sold this bag to my dear friend, and she absolutely loves it. So, in an effort not to copy her (wink), I added this one to my own shopping bag!
#2 shoes
Also another easy way to incorporate, taking a cue from the first photo above. Check out these tartan plaid mules, and this Vince sock bootie — it is so comfy (I tried it on while I was supposed to be shopping for a client)!
#3 sweaters, trousers, dresses
Recently, Meghan Markle was spotted wearing a beautiful Hugo boss leather skirt paired with a silk blouse, and the Gabriella Hearst “it” bag, both in the beautiful dark green color. Consider following Meghan’s style by adding a piece or two in this gorgeous color to your wardrobe. Below are a few of my favorite picks, including this dark forest green coat, seen on my Instagram and soon to be on my coat edit post.
