The Viral Brand My Friends Keep Asking Me About (What’s Actually Worth It?)

I had a recent girls night with long-time friends to catch up on life, and as usual, the conversation ended up on clothes. I was wearing my favorite Quince scarf jacket, and by the end of the night, I was basically giving everyone a list of my favorite pieces! Since every one of us owns at least one item from the brand, we spent the part of the night comparing notes on what’s actually worth the buy. I’ve done a lot of research, so I figured I’d share my personal favorites with all of you. These pieces are high-quality, designer-inspired, and thankfully — super affordable.

Today’s post is about my Top 10 picks from Quince. I’ve personally tried all these pieces, and they really are that good! From the $50 jeans you won’t believe to the $49 cotton cardigan you’ll wear all the time, these pieces are worth every penny. I’m positive you’ll think so too. If you have some faves I’ve missed, please share them with me!

These are the 10 Quince items I recommend most!

1 – $50 denim – I’m such a denim snob, but after watching so many people on Instagram rave about these $50 jeans, I decided to give them a try. Not only was I surprised, but I even decided to pack them for NYFW — which I wrote about here. They are very similar to the Mother jeans I talk about all the time, and you can see the comparison in this reel. For reference, I take my usual size 27, and went with the 30 inseam.

2 – $50 Cashmere crewneck – I know I keep talking about this sweater, but hear me out. At first, I was skeptical of a $50 cashmere; I thought there’s no way it could be that good! Then I tried it, and wow have I been impressed. On an LA trip last year, the weather was cooler and I wore it 6 days in a row. I’m not kidding. To my surprise, it held up beautifully! For $50, you can’t beat it. Size up one or two sizes for a more relaxed look.

3 – Structured cardigan – This designer-inspired cardigan looks almost identical to the “real” one  from Jenni Kayne, and you can wear it many different ways. The cashmere feels luxurious, and it’s just a beautiful, versatile piece. You can’t go wrong with any of the colors — especially the ivory and black.

4 – Dickey blazer – For years, many of you have asked for an affordable version of the Veronica Beard Dickey Blazer, and there just wasn’t a great option. Well now there is, and it’s incredible — and only $100! I have a very stylish, super picky friend, who I thought for sure was wearing the VB version. Well, turns out even she loves the Quince one! Check out the dickey options here, they are such an easy way to switch up your outfits. Plus, the Quince dickies zip into the VB blazers as well!

5 – Everyday linen dress – Last summer, I wore this dress all the time, whether I was on vacation or just running around town. Even though it’s linen, it’s perfect for travel since it’s not meant to be perfectly ironed. I shared a video styling it five different ways, which you can see here. This dress is available in several colors, but the navy and natural linen color are my favorites.

Here are 5 more …

6 – Scarf coat – The Quince scarf coat is another piece that’s almost identical to the Toteme original but for a fraction of the price. It’s available in several colors (I like them all), and I shared some outfit ideas in this post. It’s warm and slightly oversized, so you can layer a thin or thick sweater underneath and pair it with any of your favorite jeans. For reference, this piece runs big!

7 – Washable Silk Slip Dress – The washable silk collection is a best-seller for Quince. Besides the dress I’m wearing above, you really can’t go wrong with this skirt (either length), this pretty blouse or even their drawstring pants. Everything is easy to care fore and feels incredibly high-end.

8 – Wool blazer – Here is another blazer that’s only $100 and looks identical to the Rag & Bone Slade. It feels more like a cozy sweater, but looks like a polished blazer on. Since it’s lightweight, it’s a perfect year-round piece for your closet.

9 – $49 Cotton cardigan – I have this cotton cardigan in several colors, and it’s easily one of the most-worn pieces in my closet. The side slits make it feel roomy and comfortable, and the buttons add the perfect detail. It’s the ideal layer over a tee with your favorite jeans. This is one of my highest recommendations!  For sizing, I have both the XS and small, but I prefer the XS — it loosens up just a little as you wear it.

10 – Designer-inspired sweater – This funnel-neck cashmere sweater is another piece I absolutely love. It’s a slightly lighter-weight version than the Vince original, which makes it perfect for layering over a button up or turtleneck for extra warmth. I just shared a video styling it, you can check it out here!
