What I found for you this week … it’s so good 😊

Every now and then, I find a bunch of things at one place … and I can hardly wait to share! This past week, J.Crew dropped their new fall collection on their website, and I immediately started adding items to my cart. Typically I think about things for several days, even weeks, but for some reason I clicked the “buy” button right away — and even added expedited shipping! What on earth came over me?? Now, let me be clear — first, this is not a sponsored post from J.Crew, and second, I don’t recommend wearing J.Crew head to toe. But I do like them for very specific items, like jackets and coats, cardigans, and dresses (and occasionally a few other things). In other words: I’m picky! Rest assured I only select the very best for you.

Today’s post is a review of what I found for you this week, what I purchased, AND has some brand new style boards that will show you how to mix it all up! Think Mother and Paige denim, super stylish handbags, and some cool accessories that make all your elevated basics that much better I hope you find some things you love, I know I did!

Best-selling jacket cardigans

I’m SO impressed with these cardigans! Not only are they affordable, they’re mostly all seasons, and the color options are really good. And, you can often grab them on sale! Here’s the scoop!

Juliette – A little lighter weight than the Sophie and Ella, and it runs really big. I have the XXS and that is not my size — usually I’d go for the XS. It’s probably the cardigan I wear the most! I own it in two colors – camel and charcoal.

Eloise – It looks like it’s being replaced by the Sophie, and It’s a nice change. The Eloise is the same lightweight fabric as the Juliette; I just purchased in two colors and LOVE. I’ve already worn the pink two days in a row 🙂 It also runs a little roomy, but I’m happy with the XS. I’m guessing the pink won’t last too long, so don’t wait!

Ella – This is a heavier fabric so it’s great for cooler weather. It also runs really big — I have the XXS, and I still had it taken in on the sides. It’s ideal for anyone taller than me: ) That means 5’2″ and up — and you still might want to wear heels with it!

Camille – A light weight blazer sweater with a shawl collar and a more polished look. I have the ivory XS and love this one! See it in this Reels video. The ivory is a nice non-yellow shade, and it looks perfect with this $49 cami and also with this Frame cami.

 

Style board 1 – Puffer coat

Quilted puffer | Golden Goose sneakers | Denim | Balenciaga tote | ATM tee  | Gucci lipstick This puffer is so cute and I just love the pink color! It works just fine with a t-shirt, but since the coat is on the warmer side, allowing a little room for a sweater for colder weather is probably a good idea. I also picked up one in black, and the pretty gold buttons are a nice touch. The vests are pretty cute too and are in style this fall, check them out!

 

Style board 2 – Satin dress

This dress is very pretty and really really versatile — you can wear it with or without the belt. It comes in three colors, and I like them all, which isn’t usually the case(!) I purchased both the XXS and XS. It runs true to size, maybe a little on the slim side. I also purchased this wrap cashmere/wool dress, and I love it. It does run a little short, but the color is beautiful and rich looking.

 

 

Style board 3 – Utility jacket

I love this lightweight coat, but it runs really big! I started out with the regular XXS, but it felt too big, so when the petite XS arrived, it was perfect. The silver fireman clasps are a nice detail, although I will likely keep it open most of the time! This is the perfect jacket for in-between seasons. Another lightweight jacket option is this newly updated field jacket. The colors are so pretty.

 

 

Style board 4 – Cashmere cardigan

The cashmere shop at J.Crew is a favorite destination for luxury cashmere for the whole family. This wrap sweater caught my eye, and so did this knit polo style that sold out last year. Finally, don’t forget the best selling crew style sweater — these make great gifts for a loved one … and for yourself!
