P.S. My daughter Emily just started a Substack, and it looks really good! (I might be a little biased) Around five years ago, Emily started “Em’s Picks” which has a special little section on my website. She’s always loved finding the coolest things and creating style boards, and these days she works with me. Often she finds things for So Susie, and it just goes to show, style isn’t about age! The Denim Edit: The Hottest Jeans This Winter — and How to Style Them
10 Days In Paris: Here’s What to Pack
#1 Beige Sneakers
COS coat | White tee | COS gillet | Mother Lasso jeans | Dior scarf | Adidias | Loewe bag | Earrings
I’ve been looking to update my sneakers and wearing these backless Chloe ones on repeat, and so when I saw Em wearing the cutest outfit I decided to copy! Yes, we can wear what our daughters wear because we end up styling it differently. Beige sneakers are having a moment, and I just ordered this pair. I can’t think of a more versatile color besides white. Grab a pair now, you’ll be happy as we head into 2026.
#2 Pointy Toe Wedges
Toteme cape coat | Turtleneck | Julietta necklace | Frame knit pants | Toteme wedge shoe | Chloe leopard bag
This past week when I was in LA, I tried on these shoes, and I haven’t stopped thinking about them. The heel height is perfect at 2 1/4″, and the pointed toe gives the shoe a “cool” factor that will up every outfit. They work with trousers and wide leg jeans. Best shoe I’ve seen in a while! See below for more affordable options.
#3 Minimalist Ballet Shoes & Interesting Flats
Zara scarf jacket | TWP shirt | Rag & Bone lightweight jeans | Tennis necklace | VB clutch | Flats
Flat shoes are a closet must-have. Whether it’s a loafer, a ballet flat or a slingback, find a staple that you’ll wear all the time. Right now, I’m loving this one from Veronica Beard (above). The toe is pointed, and there’s a seam in the front that gives the shoe a little extra. I’ve also been noticing flats inspired by The Row, like this and this. See more below.
#4 Elongated Toe Boots
Mango coat | Stripe sweater | Frame jeans | Staud boot | Ritz bb hat | Earrings | Toteme bag
Updating your everyday boots is another way to keep your winter outfits looking current and cool. Look for a more elongated toe in a classic almond shape. Staud makes the Wally which is a personal favorite and comes in several versions like the one above and this one. Sam Edelman makes an affordable version that has been a best-seller all season.
#5 YSL Le Loafer & Affordable Versions
Mango coat | J.Crew sweater | Mother jeans | Toteme bag | YSL Le Loafer | Earrings
Every cool girl on Insta is wearing the Saint Laurent “Le Loafer.” This is one of those finds I love to share because when you know which ones are designer, then you can immediately spot the affordable versions! Ruched loafers are everywhere, and these Fendi ones also caught my eye.
#6 Embellished Sandals
Reiss coat | Sweater | Alice & Olivia skirt | Valentino clutch | Gianvito Rossi sandals | Perfume | Earrings
I know we’re in the middle of winter, however, I think a strappy sandal works any time of year! This past week while visiting LA, I realized that just because I live in a cooler climate, other people enjoy sunny and milder climates. So I decided to purchase the gold sandals above to justify that I have a sunny vacation coming up soon 😉
#7 Also having a moment this winter: Flat Knee-high Boots
Toteme scarf coat | Affordable lookalike here | Vince sweater | Mother skinny jeans | Riding boots | Watch | Balenciaga bag
Talk about practical! Flat boots are comfortable, super stylish and quite versatile. Try a classic riding boot like this one, or go for something a little more trendy with a chunkier sole like this. You’ll feel a little extra!
