Nordstrom Monthly Drop: 6 Pre-Fall Pieces Just Landed!

Welcome to the August 2025 Nordstrom Monthly Drop! Every month, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I carefully select six favorite, best-selling items that we think you’ll love … and should probably buy now 😉 These pieces are super stylish, versatile and well-priced. For August, we’ve selected a classic shirtdress, cool suede accessories, light wash jeans you’ll wear with everything and a Burberry scarf. We also included a neutral blazer that’s perfect for transitioning into fall. Keep reading to see the 6 pre-fall staples you’ll wear all season long, as well my honest reviews about each item. Of course, there are some styling ideas too!

But first … if you’re new around here, this is how the “monthly drops” came to be. My “Nordstrom 6” friends and I found each other during the early days of quarantine and instantly bonded. We are all current or former Nordstrom stylists who started sharing weekly content with you back in 2020. Our goal was to make shopping both fun and inspiring during that challenging time. The Brand New August Drop: 6 Pre-Fall Pieces You Need

1 – Tan blazer – This is a great alternative to a cropped trench, and you’ll wear it with trousers or denim any time of year. You’ll love the versatility — you can make many outfit combos with this one wardrobe staple! Stylist tip: Don’t forget simple alterations, like sleeve hems or a nip in the waist if needed

2 – Mother jeans – Mother denim is always a favorite; they have their fit down, and the quality is really high. A longer length jean is a little more updated, and this one is a classic straight leg. You can wear it with flats, heels and of course, boots

3 – Madewell suede bag – If you’re looking for a super stylish bag that looks elevated and cool, this is the one to consider! A few months ago, I purchased this Madewell tote, and I can’t believe the quality. It looks like a designer piece, and it’s one of my highest recommendations.

4 – Burberry scarf – This time of year, when I start scouring the internet for a silky scarf that works with many outfits, a Burberry one is always at the top of my list. I know it’s a splurge, but you’ll have it for years to come

5 – Striped midi dress – Ralph Lauren is making a comeback — check out this striped shirt dress. Love the coastal preppy look, and this dress fits right in! More sizes here & petite sizing here.

6 – Loafers – If you want a wardrobe update, then adding a suede loafer should be at the top of your list! This new one by Sam Edelman is so good — and how gorgeous is the rich brown color? This designer-inspired loafer looks way more expensive than it is and it’s worth every penny

7 – Polo bear sweater – Look at these cute polo bear sweaters for a little something different. There are several versions to choose from. You can wear them now with shorts and later with jeans. See more sizes available here.
