Nordstrom Monthly Drop: 6 Pieces That Make Perfect Summer Outfits!

Welcome to the May 2025 Nordstrom Monthly Drop! Every month, my Nordstrom Stylist friends and I carefully select six favorite, best-selling items that we think you’ll love … and should probably buy now 😉 These pieces are super stylish, versatile and well-priced. For May, we picked an affordable linen blazer, and faded blue jeans that look amazing with this pretty blouse. We also included a Rails pink striped midi dress, and a white shoe and raffia bag that you’ll wear with everything. Keep reading to see the 6 summer staples you’ll wear all season long, as well as my honest reviews about each item. Of course, there are some styling ideas too!

But first … if you’re new around here, I thought I’d share more about the monthly drops and how they came to be. My “Nordstrom 6” friends and I found each other during the early days of quarantine and instantly bonded. We are all current or former Nordstrom stylists who started sharing weekly content with you back in 2020. Our goal was to make shopping both fun and inspiring during that challenging time. Well, five years later, we’re still at it! We carefully plan our drops and post them at the beginning of every month. Enjoy!

The Brand New May Drop: 6 Pieces You Need

1 – Linen blazer and matching pant – Adding a versatile blazer to your summer wardrobe will elevate all your outfits. It’s perfect to wear over a summer dress (I like the idea of casually draping it over your shoulders). Try it with denim or shorts and a simple white tee and cool belt. If you like the idea of a casual summer suit, add the matching pant.

2 – Frame Lax jeans – These are my new favorite jeans and they’re available in several washes here, as well as petite sizes here. This jean is slim through the hip with a wide leg, which is flattering on everyone. I sized down in this wash since it stretched a little. They were also a little stringy at the frayed edge, so I trimmed them a bit to clean them up 🙂

3 – Farm Rio blouse – Farm Rio is a favorite brand, and this blouse is gorgeous! Wear it with white denim, faded blue jeans or these trousers.

4 – Rails dress – This time of year, Rails has some of the best casual dresses. This longer midi style is pretty in person, and I’d wear it with these shoes for a dressier look, or make it casual with flats and a basket bag.

5 – Sandal – White shoes are having a moment right now, and these thong sandals are the style to buy this season. They come in other colors here, and the gold or black are also really versatile.

6 – Chloe bag – We all fell in love with this bag the minute we saw it! The raffia color goes with everything, and the gold chain is a pretty detail. Wear it with a nice dress or faded jeans and a tee.
