These Are the 8 Trends I’m Wearing This Spring To Look Even More Fashionable

Exactly five years ago, during the early days of the pandemic, I worked on my very first article with Who What Wear. For years I’d been reading Who What Wear to get the latest in fashion trends and street style, as well as tips from some of the top editors in the business. So, you can imagine my excitement when an email appeared from Kat Collings, the Editor-in-Chief, asking me to become a contributor. It has definitely been a top career highlight for me.

This month, my friend and Senior Editor Bobby Schuessler asked me to weigh in on trends I’ll be wearing this spring to look just a little more fashionable. Like many of you, I’m always looking for wearable trends that will help elevate all the basics, so I rounded up some of favorites I think you’ll like. These pieces are modern, and will keep your wardrobe looking fresh and updated. Hope you get a little inspo for your own “wardrobe journey!”

P.S. Today’s post is a recap from my latest WWW article, which you can read here. When the article first appears in WWW, the clothing selections are made by Bobby and his team (he also chooses the title). But, when I recap the article, the items shared are MY picks. I hope you like them!

#1 Pink Everything

Soft, pretty pink is having a moment — and I couldn’t be happier about it! There are many elevated options available, like the dress I’m wearing above. For something more casual, try a crisp white button-down with a pink cashmere sweater over your shoulders. I’m even seeing pool slides and earrings in pink!

#2 Skirts, Skirts, Skirts

Skirts are trending again this season, so find one or two that you love, and it’ll instantly upgrade your spring outfits. A current alternative to jeans, skirts in different lengths (shorter, knee-length, or midi) give you plenty of options. Try adding a classic white one to your wardrobe, which is versatile and super stylish.

#3 Ecru/White Denim

Ecru is the French word for undyed or raw, which is why ecru denim has a natural, casual look. Ecru always looks sophisticated, and it’s an absolute go-to for the stylish set. You can pair it with pretty much anything: linen tops, blazers, pea coats, ballet flats, kitten heels, button-downs, you name it. Easy.

#4 Ballet Flats

Speaking of ballet flats, when I was in Palm Beach a few weeks ago, I noticed many stylish women and “it” girls wearing ballet flats (instead of sandals). They paired the flats with dresses, skirts, and even shorts. And why not? They’re super chic and work with every spring outfit!

#5 Printed Dresses

If you’re going anywhere sunny, having a fun printed dress on hand is key. For prints and florals, always look at Farm Rio or Alemais — they’re perfect for any vacation, and for many occasions and events, both daytime and evening.

#6 Cropped Trench Coats

Let a shorter trench be your new go-to! Trench coats are always a spring staple, but this year, cropped versions provide a fun alternative. They’re equally as versatile and will elevate all your outfits. They’re trending, and you can find one pretty much anywhere you shop. Love it paired with a midi skirt.

#7 Butter Yellow

This is another color that’s really popular right now … and so easy to incorporate into your wardrobe! Try a casual butter-yellow sweater over your shoulders, an easy spring dress, or really anything that catches your eye. Seen all over the runways, it’s the perfect color for the season.

#8 Denim Jackets

This is my favorite piece of all time! I can’t imagine a spring outfit without a denim jacket. It’s a true staple, and this year, an updated one will work magic on all your outfits. Whether you prefer something looser like this Rag & Bone sweatshirt style or a more fitted one, the fact is you’ll wear it all the time. I know I do!
