Three dresses everyone should own
Left: Floral dress | Middle: Cinq A Sept | Right: Theory linen dress | Gucci Jackie bag
A little black dress – My faves include this best-selling ALC Renzo, this strapless, easy-to-pack Norma Kamali, and a versatile, always-chic slipdress like this Vince one.
An easy everyday dress – These are dresses you can wear to daytime events. Try a classic shirt dress like this Veronica Beard style, a striped one like this one, or this affordable one. And, of course, a white dress is always an easy go-to (love this Milly one).
Casual dresses – Easy, throw-on dresses are perfect late summer or early fall days. This Frank & Eileen one is really good, and I just spotted this new Madewell shirt dress – both are stylish and cute.

The dress that works for every occasion
Left: ALC Renzo dress | Cult Gaia silver bag | Right: Vince cardigan | ALC Renzo | Larroude sandals | Khaite clutch | Ring
I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but this ALC dress works for so many events! Last summer, my sister-in-law wore it for in her son’s wedding, and awhile back, I wore the black one to a cocktail event. This is one of those dresses that works for different types of events. Recently I was chatting with Nordstrom6 friends, and we talked about how versatile this dress is. In fact, pretty much everyone who tries it on ends up going home with it. Trust me on this one, it’s a great choice. What to wear under? The Red Carpet Strapless Bra, or this new one, and these Spanx lace panties.
