The hottest outfit trend seen everywhere in LA!

One thing I love about traveling is people/outfit spotting, especially when something resonates … which isn’t always the case! A couple of weeks ago, I took a work trip to Los Angeles, and there were lots of stylish people out and about. While shopping on Melrose Avenue and pretending to be a local at Erewhon in Pacific Palisades (hah!), I noticed everyone (both women and men) was wearing the hottest, of-the-moment jacket: Moncler. Of course, they were also wearing super cool sneakers, relaxed denim and great accessories — and they looked amazing.

Today’s post is about how to get the look that’s so popular in LA right now. Why? Well it’s stylish, relaxed and easy! Whether you’re up for a Moncler splurge or you’d like a more affordable option, below are some items for you to consider. For example, the UK cool girl brand Varley is spot on with their styling, and many of their jackets remind me of more expensive designer ones — but at a fraction of the price. So, keep reading for a little street style inspo and some easy outfit combo ideas. Hopefully you’ll find a little inspiration too!

LA from my iPhone

We stayed at the 1 Hotel West Hollywood, which I have loved over the years for many reasons, including the location. However, this trip the hotel seemed to have gone downhill a bit, so I’m now on the lookout for a new hotel in LA. We had a nice dinner at Motherwolf, which is just off Sunset Blvd. It’s situated in a cool art deco building, and we enjoyed fresh pasta, a huge salad, a couple of cocktails and dessert. It was good, but I like to try new places so I’ll probably not go there again for a while.

Los Angeles shopping favorites

Melrose Place: Love Veronica Beard and Zimmermann, Frame, and of course Alfred Coffee. I spotted this new denim skirt and jeans at Frame, this dress at VB and this dress at Zimmermann.

Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills: If you’re looking for any designer shoe inspo, this is hands down the best in all my travels. I’m always amazed at the inventory from every single brand we love. These affordable slingbacks are amazing, and these splurge slingbacks are as well.

Pacific Palisades: The Serena & Lily store here is a fave, and this table, lamp and vintage bird prints caught my eye. The Anine Bing store is a must-stop, and I saw this new sweatshirt you might like. Last year, everyone on my team purchased this sweatshirt and we’re all still wearing them 🙂 I also popped into Jennifer Meyer and fell in love with this necklace.

Nordstrom, Century City: I can’t come to LA and not poke around at Nordstrom! I found this new Lacoste sweater and these Valentino sandals.
