The color combination you’re about to see everywhere!
One of the things I enjoy about this fun little blog is exploring the business of fashion. I landed my first job at Nordstrom right before college, and continued to work there for 15 years, right up until my daughter Emily was born. It was in the buying office that I realized my keen interest for what goes on behind the scenes. It’s something I still love today, and the skills I learned helped me create So Susie. One thing I noticed is that every year, just before Christmas, the color palette starts to change. There’s always a shift to lighter colors, like different shades of blues, creams, whites and soft grays. And, today while perusing the web, I found many amazing things to share with you!
Today’s post is about the color combination you’re about to see everywhere. It starts with navy blue, which is a universal color that looks good on almost everyone. While writing this post, I received the inside scoop from J.Crew that the January drop just landed! And, since I love J.Crew, I interrupted my filming and spent the next two hours scouring the J.Crew website. Of course, I went down a rabbit hole and also noticed new arrivals at Frame, and Vince and more. The colors are soft and pretty, a beautiful palette as we head into the new year.
