The hottest trend seen everywhere in LA!
One thing I love about traveling is people/outfit spotting, especially when something resonates … which isn’t always the case! But, last month our hotel in West Hollywood happened to be an Instagram hot spot, and there were lots of stylish people everywhere. While shopping on Melrose Avenue and pretending to be a local at Erewhon in Pacific Palisades (hah!), I noticed some form of athleisure on almost everyone. From oversized blazers & leggings to tennis skirts & hoodies to loose shirting & baseball hats, many Angelenos were out and about in this trending style. Of course, they were also wearing super cool sneakers, as well as great accessories. Athleisure is definitely the hottest trend in LA at the moment!
Today’s post talks about how to get the stylish athleisure look that’s so popular in LA. There’s nothing easier to put together than casual, everyday outfits, and I’ve found some pretty cute pieces to share with you! My favorite thing about this trend is you don’t need to be playing a sport or just coming from the gym. These are just comfortable and stylish outfits you can wear every single day. Keep reading for some easy outfit combo ideas, and hopefully you’ll find a little inspiration too!

Tenniscore
Tory Burch tennis dress | Pickleball bag | Bracelets – top and bottom | Flip flops | Baseball hat | Denim jacket
This trend is at the top because it’s my favorite 🙂 Every major brand has incorporated tenniscore pieces into their collections. The best part is that most people are wearing it and NOT playing a racquet sport! Yes, pickleball is trending, and it’s a great excuse to get a new tennis dress. But, t’s also ok to wear a dress while you’re out running errands. The day I was in Erewhon, holding up the line at the counter waiting for a Hailey Bieber smoothie 😂, I spotted five tennis skirts — yep, FIVE. And this past week, my daughter Em wore this Lululemon tennis skirt 3 days in a row — each time with either a t-shirt or hoodie.

This Lululemon tennis skirt is my all time favorite, along with this half zip scuba hoodie in white
For accessories, look at this MZ Wallace bag, this tote, and this hat — all so cute!
Favorite sneakers for actually playing tennis or pickleball are the ON sneakers
The best hoodies and sweatshirts
Anine Bing hoodie | Anine Bing crew | Denim | Veja sneakers | Valentino bag | Earrings
During our trip we popped into the Anine Bing store, and everyone walked out with a hoodie or crew sweatshirt. Talk about cool-looking! The two sweatshirts above are my personal faves, and they look amazing with denim, tennis skirts, and leggings. I love this new green ALO one, and the Nike Phoenix sweatshirt for $70 is a good one too!

Cool Accessories
Madewell shirt | White jeans | YSL sandals | Celine hat | Valentino bag | Sunglasses | Earrings
The most important part of mastering the stylish athleisure look is making sure you have great accessories, starting with a baseball hat. They’re practical, and you can wear them with every summer outfit, like the style girls did above. For example, Kendall is wearing a designer dress, a gorgeous Bottega bag, The Row sandals, and of course, a baseball hat.

Gold or silver earrings, Bottega-inspired gold and silver earrings are at J.Crew, and they’re amazing
Always love a fun tote, and spotted this one at Kule, and this Naghedi one is so good as well
The hottest sneakers on the market
Matching top and shorts | Bikini top | Sam Edelman sneakers | Ray-Bans | Tote
This goes without saying, but sneakers are really important for an updated summer style. Anything by New Balance is the hottest style at the moment. NB sneakers are reasonably priced, and if you can get your hands on a pair, I highly suggest you grab them while you can!
Favorites to check out:
Anything by New Balance (this all white pair is fully in stock for now!) or Tretorn
Rag & Bone retro sneakers — they’re so comfortable
For French girl chic, try Veja — I love my V-10’s
If you still like Golden Goose like I do, check out the Ballstars
Leggings, of course
Blazer | ATM t-shirt | Leggings | Sneakers | Chloe bag | Celine hat | Sunglasses
