I Want Everyone I Know to Try These Summer Trends

I really enjoy working on articles forĀ Who What Wear, and I research carefully in order to provide the very best content. So, when my friend Bobby Schuessler from WWW asked me which summer trends I was telling everyone about, well … that was an easy one because I always have new pieces I’m excited about šŸ˜Ž As I get my summer wardrobe selections ready to share with you, I want everyone I know to try these summer trends! They will definitely give your wardrobes a little refresh. If youā€™d like to read the full WWW article, click here.

Todayā€™s post is a recap of that article, plus my brand new picks for each style. I also added a few extra favorites I think you’ll love. For last month’s WWW post, click here to read “The Chic Items I Have In My Nordy Cart” — itā€™s a good one. I hope you find some style inspo and, as always, thank you to Bobby and Who What Wear for the continued opportunity to share the things I love. ā™„ļø

P.S. Weā€™ve got big plans around here! Iā€™m excited to announce that Iā€™m starting a YouTube channel, and I can hardly wait.Ā If you want to be an early subscriber, click here to get notified when the first video is live! And, as always, thank you so much for your support ā™„ļø

#1 Crochet Pieces

Dress | Sandal | Sunglasses | Handbag | Bracelet

Crochet tops, dresses, and even accessories are popping up everywhere. I’ve seen beautiful cover-ups, matching sets, and fun handbags that are perfect for summer. Check out this tennis-inspired Vince sweaterĀ this Vince cardigan and this $49 sweater!

#2 Linen Blazers

Blazer | Jeans | Sandal | Sunglasses | Bracelet | White tee

Whether you’re dressing up, going to work, or attending an event, a summer blazer is super versatileā€”especially if it’s linen. Linen blazers are lightweight and look very chic casually draped over your shoulders. I love the J.Crew one above, this best-selling Anthropologie one, these by Cinq A Sept, and if you prefer single breasted, check this one out.

#3 Maxi Dresses

Dress | Sandal | Tote | Sunglasses | Earrings

These days I find myself drawn to maxi stye dresses in pretty prints. They’re kind of glamorous, and perfect for vacation wear, socializing and warm summer days. Try throwing a sweater over your shoulders if you need extra warmth in the evening. I love this one by Eliza J, this off the shoulder one, and this one by Boden.Ā

#4 Green Hues

Green top | Denim | Sandal | Sunglasses | Necklace | Tote | Bracelet

I’m so happy bright, pretty colors are everywhere this season, and green is at the top of my list! Try a green top or dress or even brightly colored sandals, and you’ll look bold and on-trend. I have my eye on this bag, and this Farm Rio dress is a total winner. Click here to read the recent blog post on favorite color combos, including green, navy and white.

#5 Neutral Shoes and Bags

Dress | Sandal | Tote | Sunglasses | Bracelet

Everyone loves a good shoe/bag combo, and a neutral color like tan is so perfect! You’ll find that it works with many different outfits and always elevates your look. I recently picked up these $98 sandals and have been wearing them non-stop, along with these shoes with a block heel.

#6 Fun summer trends: Tennis/Tennis-Inspired Pieces

Top | Skirt | Sneakers | Tote | Sunglasses

The tennis trend is back, and you don’t even need to play tennis to try it out. Put on a cute tennis skirt or dress and you’ll feel right on-trend and maybe even a littleā€¦ nostalgic. Veronica Beard recently dropped this new collection, and I love the tennis dresses here and here.

#7 Dresses, dresses and more dresses – Wearing Vince

Vince dress | Schutz sandals | Pearl necklace

Since 2022 is shaping up to be the Year of the Dress, adding a couple of new ones to your collection will have you ready for any event that might pop up on your calendar. Look for pretty details like the ruffle on this dress,Ā or play with a different hem or sleeve length. This is THE item of the moment! Look at this Farm Rio, this Norma Kamali and this Vince slipdress – all best-sellers!
