The one must-have that everyone is searching for!
What is the one must-have that everyone is searching for? A great tee! Along with denim, tees are the basic workhorse of almost every closet. On a recent Instagram Live with my friend Susan Feldman and my awesome Nordstrom 6 girl gang, we were discussing stylist favorites. Can you guess the two items that received the most attention? The slipdress and our beloved ATM tee! After the IG live, I received many messages about fit and quality, and I quickly realized finding good tees can be quite difficult. One of my dear friends recently asked me what the deal is with this ATM tee, and should she get one? When I told her it cost $85, she said forget it … too expensive.
Ok, I get it, $85 is a lot to spend on a tee, but you know what? She’ll probably end up spending $40 and get a so-so one. Then, she’ll look for another one and spend another $30, and so it goes. Why not buy the right one the first time? So, today’s post is all about tees: my favorites, outfit ideas with different styles, and of course, street style inspo. Keep reading below for the tees I think are worth buying, and trust me on this one — I help clients and friends with this one item all the time 🙂

The tee that works with everything!
The ATM Schoolboy is a stylist favorite

If you’ve followed me for a while, you know how much I love the ATM tee. It’s not inexpensive; however, there’s something about it that really puts it a notch above any other t-shirt I can think of. For example, it’s arm flattering, the fabric texture is interesting, it’s shaped yet forgiving, and it works with everything from a suit during the week to casual jeans on the weekends. If you haven’t tried one yet, I highly suggest you consider this for your next t-shirt purchase! I am currently wearing an XS. I’ve worn a small before, and it’s slightly roomier but still fits nicely.

Anine Bing makes the best ones
Anine Bing tee – back in stock | White denim | Marc Fisher sandals
Anine Bing tees are the cool-girl t-shirts to own. I have three I’ve collected over the past couple years, and wear them all the time! In the winter they’re layer nicely under cardigans, and in the summer they’re perfect with white denim. The one I’m wearing above is back in stock … finally! Great selections at Anine Bing, Revolve and Shopbop.
Favorite tank
Michael Stars Paloma
J.Crew Juliette cardigan | Dior sandals | Mother denim | Michael Stars tank | Balenciaga tote| Poppy Finch | Gold hoop earringsThis one-size-fits-most tank is a favorite and I’ve been wearing it since last summer. It’s a nice weight, and is not too tight, making it the perfect staple for warmer weather!
Best v-neck
These by Frame — new and updated
I own this v-neck in white, and when a certain jacket calls for a different neckline, this is the one I turn to. It’s an updated silhouette, and a customer favorite!

These by Frame — the scoop neck is so flattering
Frame makes a really nice linen t-shirt, and the scoop neckline on this one is very flattering. It’s the perfect tee for warmer weather climates!
