Summer’s 7 biggest shoe trends — you need them now!

Every season, there are shoe trends that rise above the others; styles we start seeing everywhere that you simply can’t ignore. It’s exciting, especially when they are easy-to-wear favorites that are cute and stylish! One thing I’ve learned over the years is that we all LOVE shoes. So, with summer officially starting tomorrow, I thought it would be the perfect time to share my favorite on-trend shoes that not only work for summer, but will continue on in the months ahead.

Today’s post is about 7 summer shoe trends you’ll live in all summer long — everything from stylish flip flops to chain details to jellies for grown ups. It’s going to be a happy time now that we’re all out and about again, so toss your old, worn shoes and pick up a few new pairs to refresh your wardrobe and elevate all your outfits! I hope you find a style or two you love 🙂

#1 – Comfy Jellies

Valentino flip flops

This season, so many brands are showing jellies — from designers like Gucci to lower priced styles like these Gucci-inspired ones, to Tory Burch, to these favorites by Stuart Weitzman. They’re all really fun, and surprisingly comfortable!

#2 – Woven styles

Frame top | Levi’s jeans | Sandals | Tom Ford sunnies | Gold hoops | Link necklace

Woven styles are really easy to wear, and this is a style you’ll have for seasons to come. I’ve worn these shoes on repeat, and have even been stopped several times by strangers inquiring about them 🙂 They look way more expensive than they are, and add texture and interest to your outfit. Plus, the cool sculptural heel is right on trend!

#3 – Fun Chain details

Vince blouse | White denim | Chloe bag | Marc Fisher sandals | Sunglasses

Chain details are everywhere, whether it’s a chunky chain look like these by Marc Fisher,or a dainty style from Bottega. All so cool and easily wearable at all price points!

#4 – Sexy Ankle tie shoes

Veronica Beard blazer | Vince slipdress | Marc Fisher sandals | Similar

This might be one of my personal favorite trends, and finding a neutral style (a white or tan color) will give you loads of versatility! There are different heel heights as well. This is another style that works with everything, from dresses to all your favorite denim.

#5 – Heeled flip flops

This casual style of shoe is given a little style bump by adding a 1-2 inch heel. They’re comfy and so versatile! You can wear heeled flip flops with basically every summer outfit and straight into early fall. These Vince Camutos have been a top seller, and I found them in a few sizes here and here. Grab a pair, they’re selling quickly!

#6 – Easy Summer slides

BlankNYC jacket | ATM tee | Mother jeans | Gucci sunnies | Gucci handbag | Dior slides

I consider these the go-to summer shoe to own. Comfy, easy to slip on and off, and super versatile. I have a girlfriend who ONLY wear slides — no other shoes!! Find a pair or two you love and I’m certain you’ll wear them all the time, whether they’re designer or more affordable.

#7 – Top sellers off the blog

There are some sandals I wear over and over again … and talk about until it gets kind of old! Sorry 🙂 But these Schutz sandals are SO good, and they go with everything — I’m not joking. I highly recommend them and trust me, you’ll be happy with this purchase. Other top sellers include these YSL slides, these Jimmy Choo square-toe sandals, and these Sam Edelman Hermes-inspired flats. All so good!

Designer styles I’m dreaming about 🙂
